Iowa was far and away their best album! It's the fiercest, most aggressive stuff, with the least low-key tunes. I think it's the album which really epitomizes "Slipknot" for me.

I agree that the Iowa album was agressive as f*ck but unfortunatly they tried to hard and for me pretty much each song sounded like the rest, except of course for a few that stood out (People = Shit, My Plague, Skin Ticket and the title track).

Really? I'm not going to jump to conclusions (and this isn't an attack, either) but it sounds like you didn't listen to it much. I never got the impression that the songs sounded alike. Disasterpiece is a masterpiece (damn, I'm funny), and The Shape is a really interesting tune. By comparison, I feel Vol. 3 has a more "concept album" feel to it which, although it's a great album, doesn't say "Slipknot" to me.

After the release of 9.0 Live there was supossed (sp?) to be a DVD released from their Vol. 3 tour. The Dvd was to be scheduled for release a while back.... I dunno what happened with it.

Corey sounds kind of wierd in 9.0, I know its live but still. I wish more radio stations around me would play more metal. I heard Duality a lot on HFS like 2 years back, but thats pretty much it, it was an alternative station though. How do they consider stuff like Bon Jovi and other bands like that in the 80's metal? Its like softcore pussy metal. Its nothing like what we're listening to now.

Just give up on listening to the radio. Download winamp, or search for metal stations on WMP... or whatever. That's what I do.

Stone Sour's going to be here in Japan for the SummerSonic tour in August. I saw Slipknot on the same tour last year. Too bad I won't be going this year. It would be nice to see SS.
