I have a cunning plan to fly in on the Thursday night for a mere ten golden nuggets, hopefully stay with some nearby relatives for the night before meeting you all in the city on Friday and spending two nights in a "lovely" hostel.

Then a 26 pounds flight home on the Sunday night.

Simples!

Well I got me some flights, even though they went up by 3 POUNDS overnight. It was a tough decision, that's like an hour's pay in the petrol station industry.

I don't get in till about 9 on the Thursday night, I'll need to speak to my aunt to see if they'll have me for the night, or I can just meet you all in the city for night 0 and hostel it again that night.

I'm just annoyed it's so far away! I want to go now!

Mainly for the Guinness, but you guys are alright too.

Saying that, I've always had a lot of fun in Dublin, its a wonderful city. The chicks are hot.

It's the capital city of IRELAND. Every city has expensive nightlife, it also has extremely cheap nightlife too.

The name of a silly rugby team is unimportant.

But here man, no disrespect. To me it's Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. NO IRELAND. i'm not gonna get bent out of shape about it, some of my best mates are from down south or catholic areas of northern ireland. besides, lets not hijack the ireland meet-up thread to argue about this.

Very much agreed, I know to separate states but we share being Irish neither north nor south, green or orange just being Irish, that what is was getting at with the rugby metaphor (But I failed lol).

One thing I'm curious about. Due to that whole 'we're not part of the UK cos we're kool' thing, do they use Euros in Ireland instead of quids?

Spoke to Luis about this, this'll probably be at an all ages time of the day, plenty of time for drunken behaviour later on in the evening.

Wouldn't using euros be conforming? And using something else be rebelling? Considering most of Europe use the Euro.

But we had the Irish pound and be knew Britain had a pound for currency so as a "F you" to Britain we went with the euro. Hence rebelling ;).

I did that tour while in Dublin 3 years ago. It was quite interesting, mainly because it contains Europe's longest licensed bar (which was obviously closed) and due to the surprising fact that everyone who plays in that stadium is amateur and therefore unpaid.

I'm seriously considering coming to this meet because of therealanimator.

I've never been outside the US and I have plenty of extra cash to take a little trip to Ireland. I've always wanted to go to a NG Meet and I'm tired of waiting around for the San Diego one.

What would be the pros or cons?

I should probably got get a passport.

I respond to every message!
