worst ending is definitely halo 2. master chief announces to the admiral that he's "finishing this fight", and then...credits? i guess he finished it later, but i was still pretty pissed when that happened.

Finally shepard dies but still leaves alot of unanswered answers espaceilly whatthe hell would happen to makarov?.
My other one got to be the kh series always ending with a some bs cinematic and then a note from mickey espacielly kh2 omg finally i beat xemnas after getting my ass whopped several times, yes tht was a hard fight mainly becuase my lvl was like 60 or something. As i finish him i get a long cinematic afterwards just seeing the characters re-unite and get a message from the king the next day... god i coulden't even see what was writing on it.

Mainly becuase in number 2 you defeat Gold man and then you get theese voice actors yelling at eachother god how i laughed at tht part but you also dont know whats gonna happen next, then it rolls over to credits >_> afterwards showing leaderboards and everything
The 3 was also poorly voice acted and everything but the ending is just bad you defeat the boss and then its the end of the game what kind of ending is tht?

Call of Duty 2 pissed me off more than a non-story driven game should have.
Why couldn't the game end with the capture of Hill 440? Why did they have to tack on that easy-as-shit "Crossing The Rhine" mission, when it amounted to nothing more than a fat blue ball?
All it did was bring you down from your victory high, and the only reward was getting to watch the shitastic ending cinematic, which, for as good as it was in concept, was a sack of shit in execution. >:(

I'd actually have to say GTA IV.... It was a very dark ending with either path you chose. It was a good choice to make and everything, I just didn't like it because it wasn't really a "happy" ending. No pun intended.

I dunno, I thought it was kind of cool in an audacious way. I mean, it takes guts to end a game with a fistfight with the Pope and then launch into some ludicrous convoluted sci-fi insanity, all with a completely straight face. Guts, or stupidity. Either way, I'm still not quite sure what happened at the end of AC2, but I don't really care.

WHAAAT? It's the exact opposite of that! Most other games would never kill off their protagonist for fear of losing sequel potential. RDR's ending rises above that bullshit. It's supposed to be jarring and maybe even a little disappointing, but it also makes sense. How else was it gonna end, with John Marston enjoying a full and happy life with his family and never having to pay for all the awful things he's done? Wouldn't that completely invalidate everything the game's story had been setting up?

I'd almost say that Red Dead Redemption has one of the best endings of any game. The only part that bugs me is that (unless I'm mistaken) you have to enact your revenge on the federal agent in order for the credits to roll. That kind of cheapens Marston's sacrifice by making it seem like his son didn't learn anything from his mistakes, and the whole process is going to start over again. Maybe that was the point, I dunno.

Killer Instinct, seriously. If you beat the game on less than four (out of six) stars of difficulty it says "You suck you little pussy, go turn up the difficulty!" I was like "What the fuck?!" It's IMPOSSIBLE to beat the game on 5 or 6 stars. There isn't even any strategy involved, it's just a button mashing game.

I'd say KotoR II. I found the elements of the story and the story telling itself so exceedingly wonderful and perfect. It really threw in a twist to my personally nerdy starwars universe. But, the ending was so subpar, it was disappointing. And not even the climax, I enjoyed the climax. But the actual falling resolution of it all was quite shit. Mainly because there wasn't one.

Granted, the game's dev team was forced to push the game to come out early by I think LucasArts, so they literally didn't finish. Damn money-hungry greedy bastards.

Rayman Raving Rabbids.

I'm kinda a Rayman fan. And I loved the game cause of it's positve feel, Rayman is such a lovely character and the fairytale-fantasy world he's living in is charming, so it was really a messed up turn when all those rabbids came, and when I finished the game, and then as a conclusion I see rayman stucked in a rabbit hole, the rabbids are still owning and hurting everyone, and Rayman is just stuck there, and that's it. I was like WTF was this, extra ending or something, cause it can't be this way.

At least some relief for my tortured soul by the separation of the rabbids title and the announcment of Rayman Origins.

Well I thought RDR was a great game, and it seemed like an awful ending to such an amazing game. Just my option. =/

Fallout 3 was terrible. Hopefully New Vegas will improve on that.
