Haha, what speed? You're not likely to go very quickly unless you lose control and even then, you'll end up in a comfortable set of cushions at the bottom. They'll put you on the kiddy slope when you're learning, which is about twice the size of an average swimming pool in length.

Eh, I don't know. As I said, never been skiing before. Anyway, it'll be a case of me judging at the time if I want to take part. I most likely will and take some random shots of people skiing after one or two goes.
This too will pass.

There's a bar overlooking the slope.

Went to bed at 1am, woke up at 4am unable to go back to sleep due to a small anxiety fit. I can't go back to sleep, not even for a nap. I've even got some christening thing today which requires me to sit through a sermon to get to the actual event. I can't even skip it because I'm meant to be a godfather for the kid.
This too will pass.

Skiing? Never done it before but regardless it sounds like a lot of fun. I´ll take a lesson obviously.

Settle down Jack. Did you not hear what liljim said? There's a bar overlooking the slope, it's all good.

Slags and hoes.
Oh shit king kong what are you going
I hear from people who've been that it's shit if you're new and you spend most of the time either in a rubber ring or learning how to do it.
But I've never been there so I'd be up for it.

If worst comes to worst, just go to the bar, you´ll find me and EJ there assuming he isnt under 20 lbs of snow.

Well, those are two different things. I'd think if you have a 50 minute group lesson and book another hour in, they'll let you on the main slope right after the lesson.
For anyone not doing any of that stuff, it should at least be a spectator sport, particularly if they have the moguls and ski jumps set up and some of us attempt to concur them. And you can have drinks and snacks and watch as we all make tits of ourselves on there.
I've never been skiing hungover, but it's never too late to try, right?

You ought to book a trip somewhere for a week. Every day is a hungover day. Better yet, they have bars and restaurants at regular intervals all the way down, so you can top up on your alcohol poisoning as you go!
Also I meant "conquer". Damn you, phonetics!
Hey, if there's gonna be a hottub i'll get the Chernobylie

Yeah, I've been skiing several times but last time I went I was only 17 and I didn't get hangovers back then. I'd love to go again but I'm busy this christmas and easter so have my two potential times taken away D:

Hmmm, I've always been terrified of the chillfactor. I'm shockingly clumsy, proof being that I'm currently nursing a suspected fractured wrist. So that along with every other broken bone and head splitting I've done, makes me very aware that i should miss the skiing fun and just sit at the bar instead.
Release your inner crazy.
Not to late to mention this... I'm totally hitting this shit, I got a bus to Matlock, I will get a bus to Manchester.
I don't care if it takes about 5 hours.

To be fair i got the hang of skiing after getting a run through. I think the hardest part is getting on and off of the lift. Cause it doesnt stop to wait on you. You gotta hop off if youre ready or not.
I tried to snowboard and it was much harder and frusterating so i prefer skiing

Everytime I fall over and shout ´fuck´, you take a sip of cider.
You´d be under the table in under 15 minutes.
See now I have been skiing before in the Swiss alps, and my god was that easier than at the Chill Factor. There, naturally, you have a HELL of a lot more room and you can just chill out without a care in the world, and it's you and the slopes, only looking a couple of times for people behind you.
Whereas on The Chill Factor slope, it's much MUCH smaller on the inside than it actually seems. Yes to the average person it looks big, but to an amateur or someone who hasn't been skiing in a whole year (A.K.A Me), it's not a lot of room to go parallel turning and making sure you don't crash into the snowboarder next to you who's going a hell of a lot faster than you.
However, the last time I went to the Chill Factor, I was still a young'un and this was BEFORE I went skiing in the alps, plus there was a competition on so one of the 2 lanes were blocked off from normal skiers going down it. So of course the lane I was in was fuller than normal.
If i can get some money together by January, I will come skiing and have a go at going down the slope in Chill Factor...
... Then you can all laugh at me when I fall of and almost die! Or i can laugh at liljim when he falls too. :3

You are not responsible for the people behind you, only the people in front of you matter. That's the general rule followed at all resorts.
