Version of the Koran w/out Jihad?

Does it exist? Since most people just take the shitty parts out of whatever religion they follow, why is there not just a version of Islam/The Koran w/out the jihadist parts? I mean, it really sounds not that bad if you just take those out.

You missed my point. I was referring to the fact that Jihad comes from texts outside of doctrinal scripture, just like the beliefs of the Mormons comes from outside of the Bible.
