Need help finding an agant... 2010-08-26 14:56:37 Reply

I've recently written a whole novel and I have been editing it extensivley. I'd like to get it published. The problem is findng an agent though.

The book is called The Zirisian Princess and is about an orphan anthro Firefox (you read that right) called Ezekiel saving a magical world called Corralna from being enslaved and destroyed by a truly dreadful alien race called the Vreetocs. The problem is that Ezekeil is very timid and has never really had any friends ... plus he's an orphan. Luckily he has friends like Fleelik, Lukas and Tashna to help him out. It's a dangerous quest for the Corralna Idols to summon Corralna's God and in the end only good or evil will win Which will it be?

The book is the first of a series of six.

Judging by the plot I'd say it's a fantasy and science fiction hybrid. Does anybody know of a publisher of those genres (especially fantasy). But it MUST be in the UK as that is where I live.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Good luck. I highly doubt you'll find anything, however, as your synopsis lacks any mention of fiery Bleebops, and flying Smeagmergs.

Finding a literary agent shouldn't be that hard. Look in the phone book or do a google search for UK literary agents.

But you may not need one. You could shop your book around and negotiate a deal yourself. That's all the agent does.

That is harder than it seems.

Failure should push you until success can pull you.
