First, I would catch some, not many and certainly not more powerful than others in the surrounding area. Next, I would walk into high grass and just spin around for a while until I saw someone walk directly into my line of sight.

I would travel the world with a Mudkip who I would never let evolve. I know it's a faggot meme, but I legitimately love Mudkip. I'd also catch a Gastly and trade somebody a relatively rare Pokemon for a Haunter so I can get a Gengar. <3
