I just saw the news in Wade's Facebook wall. I'm so proud of you guys, NG is officialy an influential website and it's a big part of Internet history. I have no words to say how proud I feel of being part (a very, very small part) of such community of creative people.

The reason not for these is the fact that on all the *chan imageboards pretty much all users post as Anonymous, so holding regular meetups would break the anonymity. On some of the lesser known boards there's a stronger feel of community than on here, seeing as friendships seem to crop up in just minutes, instead of taking months to forge. It's like the NG Stickam, but not every single person is the internet equivalent of a hipster faggot. :D
