What i mean is i would like the landscape of an animation to move with the character except in the opposite direction, Thus having the character in the center of the screen at all times yet he could be, jumping, running, falling etc.
The easiest way i think is to have a motion tween set on the landscape for it to constantly move in the set course the character would take and then have the character in one still position performing actions to make it look like it is him moving with a camera on him almost.
Heres a visual representation:

Ignoring all the obvious flaws, Bad design, only legs, Frame rate could be better, Running could be more fluent etc. that only took me about 3 minutes to make.
Is that the best way to make a full model move in an animation or are there better ways.
heres my practice model im using atm.
Thanks.
You can do what you said.
Or you can use a VCAM (not the best tutorial...But cba to find a decent one)
Just animate everything how you want it and disregard your canvas in flash and then you can use that to follow your character.
It's basically a camera
Ive used vcam before for game tutorials etc. however for some reason that i cant remember i thought it would be a bad idea to use it for an animation but ill see thanks anyways.
I would say V-CAM should work well with animations, Adam Phillip uses it for his Bitey of Brackenwood series and I notice quite a few other animators who use it!
Haha i love Bitey and knowing that someone able to produce such amazing and fluent animations using it kinda just goes to show its worth it ill download the files now and get experimenting with it :D
I used VCam once, but since I like to use imported bitmap-frames animated in other software, I noticed that it can really screw up timing..
