Some nude sketching. It's suposed to look as if she's startled. Anyways I'm looking at this sketch and i know something is missing (other than clothes) Can you guys maybe point out any mistakes?

You can feel she's startled, so that's good. Her hips look way weird, though, those look like the hips of a fat man with skinny legs. Don't forget where the bones go, the little 'dent' in her hip can't really be there. Her legs are, well, yeah, too skinny and look kind of rubber-y and bendy, but not bad.
The stretched out 'karate hand' she has there also kind of negates the spontanity of the pose. Maybe if you put in front of her mouth or something..
But this drawing is not at all bad. The pose looks relatively natural and the basic proportions are good. The hips are the major 'problem'.

Lol I colored it in PS for like 10 minutes but i got bored so this is how it turned out.
So basically, make a layer above the sketch, trace it in brush, use magic wand to select portions that will be colored, make a layer under the outline, expand the selection size by one or 2 pixels, and fill with the color (under the outline)
you can look it up on youtube if need be

From what I'm looking at, it seems like you've used the burn and dodge tools for all your lighting needs. Try not to do that as much. It would look a lot better if you manually shaded that with color instead of a souless uniform dark splotch that doesn't really accurately shade it. I can't quite tell what angle the light is coming from, it just seems like you got happy with the burn tool. And the linework is a bit sloppy. But it seems promising! I think if you spent more time on it, it would come out a lot better than it is right now.
You REALLY need to work on your shading man, and better linework.
Tick Tock
Did nobody realize that BlueGil is not the OP?

Yes, but BlueGil still did do something wrong with the shading, so we were focused at him atm.

What J-qb said. Also, try to make the feet more flat on the ground. Right now it does not look like there is any weight on them.

the shoulders are quite wide for a woman and hips could be a bit wider... if its a man; hes got boobs.

Good idea, it's easier to comment on pieces that aren't finished. FYI the head is also huge in this one. If you want realistic anatomy then the head should be about 1/8 of the total height.
i have a feeling this head is unporportional....
eh, had nothing better to do so heres a wip

The folds are irrelevant to the picture. While having fold is all well and good, deep folds only usually occur when the material is scrunched up entirely, otherwise - especially in a standing position like this, the shirt and pants usually just hang off them (unless it's too tight). Might want to keep that in mind, or the like, because folds are definitely pretty damn awesome.
You seem to have a bit of trouble with proportions. Well, quite a bit of trouble with proportions. And I have no idea what those tits are meant to be.
Actually, the thing that I find most solves your problems with that is to simply draw from reference. Easy advice, easy to follow. Finds models on teh internets of all shapes and sizes and really just redraw them (bonus points if you put them in a different pose and stuff and don't simply copy). Gradually wien yourself away from models. You can now draw proportions.
All the same, arts coming along nicely - good work.
Am i heading the right direction with this? Notice im not finished with this yet mkay so dont nitpick at that yet.
I'm also taking up advice from lintire to draw from reference so i picked up some medical books fapped to them, and then began to draw the naked chicks, i say i did a decent job
I'm trying a Cezanne approach with shapes instead of a skeleton. I really don't know if this right or not, either way it was great practice
Here goes another one. I erased the feet like a hundred times and i settled on this. *sigh* still doesn't look that good....
