Winning the Euro Millions would be nice, as there's a lot more to be won than with the National Lottery (£10M minimum on Euro, £2M min on National). There's little to no chance of winning though, as so many people do it and the numbers are VERY random.

"19. What tax implications are there for lottery winners? Generally, Canadian tax authorities do not consider lottery winnings to be taxable for Canadian tax purposes. However, U.S. residents playing OLG lotteries should note that the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) does consider such winnings to be subject to U.S. tax. While OLG will not withhold the U.S. tax against Canadian winnings, U.S. residents must report such profits on their individual tax returns. For more information, U.S. residents should contact their local IRS office."

Are you talking about the new "Lottery Ticket" movie coming out? Anyway, I wish I could win the lottery, because I am always eager to get some money, probably due to the fact that I no longer have a job. I used to work at this restaurant but they are basically shutting down because business is so low. The worse news is that summer is over and it is unlikely I will get any more hours except for maybe Labor Day.

Which lottery?
You'd probably get your chance at around 5M.
Your chance? What're you talking about? You get "a chance" every time you buy a ticket. At whatever the current odds are.
However, the jackpot is usually 2 million, which means if you do win the lottery, you're either losing money, or not making a very good profit.
Wait, are you trying imply that people who win the lottery are typically spending five million dollars on average to try and do so?

From one standpoint it doesn't seem fair that they take tax out of your winnings. But from the other standpoint, it is tax payers money in the first place. So it's kind of a two way street.

HAH! I USED IT!
I believe there's a gnome afoot.
anyways, I don't mind that the government takes any money away, depending on how much I got. If I got 1,000,000, then it probably won't matter. I have a lot of money.
But if it's like, $5,000, then yeah, come on.
