It's kind of expensive if i remember, i haven't been in over a decade.

I think it's 30 to go up, and then an extra 20 or something if you want to go to the SkyPod.
Anyway, yeah i'll probably be there!
I would LOVEx100 if we could have another Toronto Meetup in a a year and a bit when I'll be 19, and staying on res at university downtown. Plus, people can stay at my dorm if they would like and have no where else to go.

So if this turns out to be a success, who's for a round 2 in a two years?

I also have a plan that is illegal and I don't feel like getting banned again so nevermind.

Funny that NG is coming to Toronto. I live nearby Canada's Wonderland, and the other web community I'm a large part of has an annual gathering in Toronto every summer. So both communities I care about gather in Toronto. That's awesome.

Call me a maybe +1. The girlfriend's brother is coming in from California the week prior, and I don't know a) if I'll still be busy from that, b) whether I'll have the energy, or c) whether she'd want to come. Assuming I can make it, though, I'll show everyone where to get legitimately the best poutine in Canada. Seriously, it was written up in the Toronto Star some years ago and everything. If you like fries, and you like gravy, and you like cheese, and you know those things all go well together, then you will love this poutine.

Not legal, decriminalized. It basically means you get a small fine rather than jail time if you're caught with enough for personal use. At least that's my understanding of it; I don't smoke, so I don't know the laws as well as someone who does would know them.

We did this like 3 years ago at a Toronto meet. It's expensive and all you get is a view. I rather put that like 60 bucks or so towards something more entertaining or beer or food. If there is more users that want to go then you can lead the group to the top of the tower.

Chron's place seems to be the only offering at this point.

You mean the 2010 meet is not the first?!? *Cries*

I think it would be worth it for me. But I understand not everyone has a good budget.

If there is more users that want to go then you can lead the group to the top of the tower.

Why me? Aren't there any local guides in the group who want to go?

lol, I don't think any locals give two shits about the CN Tower anymore. I personally thought it was "neat" the first time I went up there. I also didn't have to spend my own money on that trip.

I've been up it once and I actually wouldn't mind going up again. I think there's also more than just the view.

You know that almost none of those people are attending the meet, right? Also, DiMono was right about it not being legal, just decriminalized.

accomodations

I'm already booked up. There might be hotel rooms with some spots open still. Ask asthmatic, lindsay, and pox.

You mean the 2010 meet is not the first?!? *Cries*

The first one barely counts. It was Flash Forum only, and there were like 7 of us.

CN Tower

I'm of the school of thought that it's not a very good return for your money, but it seems like enough people are interested to make a group for it though. We can break into two groups for an hour. As long as there's a known phone number between the groups and someone who knows the area in each group, we can meet back up just fine. There are other sights in the area.

FBI Polux confirmed

Hurrah! Don't scare us like that.

We're also booked up, Keith is staying with us.
Though if you don't mind sleeping on the floor, it could be a possibility.

Okay, so I'm proud to be part of the first inclusive Toronto meet.

Still, it doesn't seem like there will very many people showing up.

You kiddin'? We have at least 20. Any bigger than we are and we wouldn't even be able to eat or drink in the same buildings anyway. The group is a pretty ideal size as it stands, and if you push too much for numbers, you end up with a bunch of riff raff.

Yeah, that happened to us this year in Montreal. Both on Friday and Saturday night, we had trouble finding a decent bar to host everyone...

Thank god, we luckily managed to find something decent on both nights...

I just assumed that about half that number would actually show up. But if you insist on 20, then it's all good with me.

You're staying alone with Spikrodd, right?

Just curious: Which hotel near the park would you recommend?
