I just purchased my bus tickets. So, therefore I'm totally committed, and should be in Toronto on the evening of the 8th.
My boyfriend joked about me getting my head chopped off on the way, like that other guy.

Now that I've got my school schedule...
It looks good since October 9th is the one Saturday that I don't have classes all October o.o
I plan to be there barring any type of intense study group or finals preparation. (That's what I get for condensed schooling.)

It is just less than three days each way. So it's not quite a week.
So, what's happening on Friday and/or Sunday? Has anyone organized anything yet?

You mean 299 Queen Street West? If so, you'd probably have to book a tour. I was part of a tour once, but I don't care to see the building again.

I'm missing for the confirmed list.

I should also mention I'm cool with it.

You mean it's not the safest place to be?!? But, but, I can see everything going on in front of me, and see it coming at me.
Unless you're talking about the toilet...

Why? Is he going to permaban me from life and delete my body?
lol?

Oh, I didn't mean a full-on tour or anything. I didn't want the day to be *too* structured, since people will probably have a lot of conflicting interests. It was just kind of something noteworthy that we'll be passing by. Maybe people want their picture with the jeep crash or whatever :P
I'm missing for the confirmed list.
Cool, wasn't sure if you were confirmed. You'll be in the next updated list.
aj confirmed
Another one, hurrah

OK, that's different.

No problem.

I will be arriving in Toronto Friday evening. So yeah, I could show up if it's not too far.

Don't you live all the way in Hamilton? That's like an hours drive away from the downtown core.

Interesting choice of words.
LOL
My financial situation hasn't gotten any better since my last post here, so me going to this meet is extremely unlikely unless a huge fucking miracle happens, but there's only a 5% or so chance of that.

Oh...
Sorry man, but after driving 7h, we'll probably just want to leave the car at the hotel and pick something close enough to our place to get semi-shitfaced...
Some mild bad news. The conflicting booking for the National Film Board reserved theatre thingy ended up taking precedence over ours, so we've got a couple of hours to fill. What are peoples' thoughts? Should we just collapse the schedule forward an hour or to sleep off any Friday hangovers and just fill the rest with exploration time? We certainly have other options, but most people seem to be on a pretty tight budget. Can I get a consensus?

We could walk along Queen Street at 5:30pm, instead, and go to the Hockey Hall of Fame at 1pm. There are group bookings for 15 or more people. If anyone's up for it, we could alternatively watch a Canadian film at a theatre. I'm thinking of a documentary called Force of Nature on our famous environmentalist David Suzuki or a comedy called Fubar II. I'm trying to find out if you need to see the first Fubar to understand the sequel. These options are only if people are willing to spend about $12, though.
