I'd say 60%, but I buy a shitload of music. Bought two albums this week and I have a collection of something like 300 albums.
Now that I think of it I have to get the rest of Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones and the remaining albums of a few bands. Thank god for a 40 meg internet speed I should have that done in a hour.

99.9% the only reason I bought that one song is because it was the only way to get it.
(Hey we can't all have the luxury to pay for music.)

None of it. I only listen to Soundcloud and Newgrounds Audio Portal.

Hmm... I have a pretty large collection of LPs, old tapes, CDs, a couple of MP3 players with built-in tracklists, a few material bootlegs that probably aren't really legal... all these collections split up on three different locations. As for digital music I useSpotify, Grooveshark (which suddenly partnered with Sony and became legal, whaddayaknow!), a bunch of bought albums on various digital stores like CDBaby and Bandcamp, an NG collection on about 230GB... , and then some eh... other files. Impossible to calculate.

If your work isn't worth fighting for, it's not worth uploading on NG, period. (JrHager84)
A small precentage. Most of my music can be legally downloaded.

Good job, citizen.
The government is watching, meet me in my office at 10
Almost all of my music was illegal. But now with Spotify, Last.fm, etc. there really isn't a reason to pirate music my anymore.
Spotify Free.
It's like pirating, but legal!
Way less than what I had in High School.
Back then, over half my library was illegal.
Currently, it's less that 7%, and that's me ripping epic playlists from Youtube because the composers didn't release the music to the public (looking @ you, Immediate). I also ripped a Hans Zimmer playlist because I'm still working on collecting his works ; I'm buying about one soundtrack per month.
That's what starting a career does. It's nice to have enough money to support some of my favorite artists.
"But what happened to all that illegal music you had in High School?"
Deleted it. Most of it was Gangster Hip Hop trash anyway. I held on to a few artists (Common, Method Man, J Dilla, Slum Village), but I bought all the music I decided to keep. IMO, it was my way of saying thanks for the music.
Also, a HUGE THANKS to musicians who release their music for free (looking @ you, NG music artists).

that's the way intellectual property should work.

Well, now it's not 100% anymore.
How things change in 3 years.
Just did another 5GB man if I keep this up I might fill a terabyte hard rice with nothing but downloads.
The only music on my harddrive that isn't illegally downloaded was free in the first place, or it was name your own price, which is fancy talk for free.
I don't have many albums I've bought, but the ones I have, are quite sentimental.
Torrenting has destroyed that feeling you get when you're holding an old casette or CD and just think "Damn, those were some good days...".
Can't really do that with a mp3 file.

I'd say about 65% of mine is. I don't buy unless I feel the artist really deserves it. And I have downloaded illegally and then purchased several times.
About 70% of my music is ''illegal''. Now imagine the police busting my door down ,right now.
I never download music, but my brother does, and his is probably like 90%. I do mostly just watch YouTube videos because you can favorite them and watch them whenever you want. Don't really see what the point in downloading music is if you can just do that.

All of it, I don't buy/download any music. I use Pandora all of the time, and if I want a particular song, Grooveshark. I do this because both my home and phone data are unlimited. It's legal, and saves a lot of HDD space.
