When you browse the internet and want to view another web page at the same time, do you prefer opening a new window or a new tab?

I use Firefox, so tabs.
When I used to use IE 7, I would generally just open a new window. Frigging tabs had to initialize separately.
If you don't like my poetry, scroll down the page a bit. It gets better.

Tab. I hate having too many windows up at once, though because I have Windows 7 it doesn't really matter because of the taskbar being a lot more organized.

I dont really thin its that much more organised. In fact I thnk its worse. Its alright if you have lots of different programs open (The picture things), but anymore then 3 of a certin window and its annoying.
Also, Tabs

Tab. It's so much quicker to click the mouse wheel on a link then to right-click it and select "Open in new window".

The majority of posters in this thread perfer tabbed browsing, and I agree.
It's just neater to have two tabs.
Although it's a very common occurance for me to have two windows with two tabs each -- Newgrounds and something on one window, a chat room and homework on the other window.

Opening a new window sucks.
I'd tab that.
anyway, tab, it's easier and more organized then a different window for everything, unless you have a shitload of monitors.

Why are you going to open windows? That's so pre-2005.

Tabs, because it's quicker to open, and a bit more organized.

My window's latch is rusty, and the screen is rather annoying. Tab, on the other hand, is a refreshing beverage.

Tab seems to make things slower for me. Plus I don't know how to open a new tab in safari.

I don't know, this kind of sounds like a unanimous vote. But I'm not sure. Anyone want to double check?

New window. If I truly want to view another website "at the same time", it's the only good way. Plus, if you're going to have a huge resolution, you might as well use it for web browsing too.
I still use tabs, but more windows than not.

Always a tab. I always have MSN, iTunes, and Chrome open, and I'm usually in a few conversations so I've got at least four things on my taskbar, and looking through it to find the window I want is harder and slower than looking through tabs.

But Chrome and Opera support split-screen and addons for Firefox can split screen space. There's virtually no reason not to use tabs more often.
