something messin' up with my fla?

just one problem after another....

Hokay, so basically everytime i do something, anything. The smallest, most insignificant thing in my fla. file of a flash im working on, such as typing in 1-3 characters in an AS script, or drawing a line. The little loading sign pops up for about 45 seconds and than lets me go back to work.

than i do another small, insignificant thing and it pops up again for another 45 seconds.

This just keeps happening, everytime i click, or type a couple characters it makes me wait a while before i can do anything else.

Before, this used to only happen when i went back and edited my first scene, which i thought made sense since that scene was heavy with symbols and has about 850 frames. But than today its been happening even on my newest scene, which only has about 150 frames (if that matters).

I don't understand. Is my copy of flash messed up? Because this never happened before, or is it just this peticular file that is having the problem. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Does it just go away on its own or should i do something?

Please help, or at this rate, this flash wont be done until April of 2011...

nope. Mah computer is somewhat slow (cuz it doesn't have much space left in the local disk) but everything else is fine, its just this fla.
