4.07 / 5.00 13,902 ViewsI'm developing some character concepts, and would like some input on their appearance, namely their clothing.
I was never a fahionista, so I don't know what looks good or stupid. I know comic book and video game characters never seem to have a proper fashion sense anyhow, but there's things that definitely looks stupid (read: Tidus).
I'm basically asking you all to play limited dress-up game I crafted to help make this easier. I'm open to suggestions, and problems, but I don't care about the physical appearance of the characters themselves at the moment. I'm focusing on their attire.
I have nothing to say that is at all relevant.
its a pretty good concept, but could use a wider variety of clothing (i.e. hats glasses, necklaces, scarves, jackets, swimsuits?)
would be cool to see more work on this

No no, I don't need advice on the program. I'm not intending to make a big dress up game, I'm trying to design characters with decent apparel.

I am disappointed....
Nothing for the Cat? Shame on you!
eh, I'm not so good at clothing.... I mean most of my drawings tends to be on nude figures :P
I'm better at muscle work than a tank top
But I think that what you have is good. Although a quick suggestion for the mock up.... add some color to the clothing or the characters to make the other stand out. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a solid over all color, but it will help us see some of the clothing once it is on.
You have a pair of arm gloves that once they were on I couldn't tell them from the girl. So a little color would have helped....
Ok, but if anybody wants to help you, they need to see the characters. Do you mean the three chars on the linked drawing?
Or do you just want to see random clothing?

There aren't any others, as far as I know, so yes.

The link's a mock-dress up. It's less a game and more an organizational assistant. Just mess around with it and tell me what looks good, and anything that you think should be added, like this fellow.

Yeah, that probably would have helped. Although I don't really have a sense of color as far as clothes go. I probably will put that in, when I stop being slothful.

then i apologize :P
as for the work on the clothing, i think they are pretty good concepts, but when you do more solid lineart, to add little details, and, in case you need it, here is a folds tutorial to get the wrinkles right ;)
Oh sorry I should really learn to read more carefully. :P
This may not come in very helpful, but I think everything looks alright. Maybe you could add some patterns to some off the clothes to make them look more diversified. Still nice mix off loose and body-fit clothes, so far.
