Meh... Madness day. Just a reason for people to animate zombie's getting killed by a grey blob.

Wow, you admins are really doing a good job getting the Audio Portal involved a little more, not to mention involving art and literature too. I take back whatever I thought about the Audio Portal being ignored.

That being said, I'll gladly make some music for a flash, I have some great soundbanks for making music, had experience scoring animations and making music for games and I have a few existing songs which might work with a madness flash too :D.

Your movie must feature non-commercial music but what about sounds (guns,people,vehicles,...) can you use them from let's say... a video game?

Clocks are a much bigger part of the NG culture than crappy ass Madness.

You don't hate Tom? He's like the easiest person to hate ever! Actually that's not true. I can't even hate Tom after ignoring Clock Day. He's such a non-hateable person. Damn you Tom!

Anyways, I wouldn't say Madness isn't a large part of NG. It's one of the reasons I even know about NG. But I still think it was pretty crappy of Tom to ignore Clock Day.

And I just thought of something, shouldn't Wade, liljim, Tim, Rob, Mike, Psycho, and all those guys be blamed as well? We just ignore them and put all the blame on Tom.

Clock Day was a little awkward for me this year because I got requests from Clocks to have them provide a list of what should go in the Clock Day collection, because there was a bunch of drama last year about a non-clock making a winning submission, and lots of other non-clocks submitting clock day spam... But I ended up just managing the collection myself anyway.

The event felt like more like a self-contained deal this year, but I think that's regrettable, so it comes down to who calls the shots for Clock Day - active clocks who may not have even been around for B or established NG tradition - and I think next year we should just keep the vibe of making it one big party for everyone. I am in communication with so many clocks that it has become confusing as to who is conflicting with who and who is really representing the majority of active and senior clocks... I need to really get a Clock hierarchy established to manage the confusion in the future and maintain a singular vision for where the Clock Crew is going.

Now the "Madness Day 2010 Rules" part I can agree on, but I'm not sure about that "& Prices" business :/

FFS, really?!

I'm still fairly new, but I'd find it both immature and self-righteous to think that the "clocks" have any right to "call shots" on Clock Day. Like any publicly celebrated holiday, participation should be welcomed, not shunned. Unless it's demonstration.

Maybe I don't know all the details, but from what I gather, NG is hosting a special day for said "clocks". If anything, I'd imagine a whole fuck load more gratitude, not only for the NG staff (or Tom who had to juggle it all), but for the general NG public who wanted to add to the festivities and donate their time and energy to contributing to Clock Day.

If the pedigree of Clock Submissions really matters that much, then they should really just have their own site ... managed by them.

Sorry if I'm ranting ... clients got me riled this morning...

I gotta' say that thing about no commercial music is pretty retarded since many Madness Day flashes use to completely revolve around them, like "With My Minds Madness", "Can I Play With Madness" and "Madness One". Those are just three examples. I'm pretty dissapointed dude :c

I still think you could've hyped it up a bit more. The only mention of Clock Day before it happened was a "Oh and Clock Day's in a week" at the end of Best of July. That's what upset me the most.
