Over the year, I watched shitload of animation movie, going to stop-motion to 3d to 2d and even some anime. The thing is, I watched so many animation movie that are ranked in the best of the best that it became difficult to find some good movie that I didn't already watched! I checked some top 100 list on the internet and to my dismay, none of them ad a movie I didn't watched or didn't knew of.
So the point of this thread is, if you aren't too lazy to do so, to share some great animation movie and maybe some nostalgia on the way. Oh and please, do not refer to some obvious movie like the Lion King that everyone seen.
Oh and lastly, this isn't a ''top 10'' or ''the best movie'', so keep your opinion to yourself if you don't like the movie someone else talked about.
This pic is cheap, its just to point out the fact that I don't prefer a style in perticuliar.

domestic violence can be funny too!
Try Grave of the Fireflies or Spirited Away. Both are extremely good, although GotF is depressing.

Nice thread. I've always found it tricky to find good anime films other than the ones from the Miyazaki line-up.
Recently, however, I saw Summer Wars and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time by director Mamoru Hosoda, both of which were really fun. I hope to see more of his work in the future. Satoshi Kon's Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers are also good, but they aren't my favorites.
For those not interested in anime, The Triplets of Belleville is also pretty cool, although most people have probably seen it.
there is this one awesome anime "KITE" it'sabout a female assasin who kills pedophiles with exploding bullets

Ah yes, the The Triplets of Belleville... I watched it for the 3rd time a week ago and it's always an awesome movie. The art style is unique and the story is really good, even if there minimal voice acting in the whole movie.
One anime movie I liked a lot that wasn't made by Miyazaky is metropolis , a story of a kid and is grand-father in some huge metropolis where robot try are treated like slave. Do not be fooled, this movie is awesome and there are some good plot twist and the character are interesting.
I just watched the movie you proposed, lOvemetal, and damm this is weird but awesome. Can't imagine what the movie look like for someone on drugs...
Now I go to sleep, i'll post more stuff tomorow.metropolis

Dinosaur is a movie about an orphan dinosaur adopted by a group of lemurs, who go by the name of Aladar. After year of peaceful living a medium sized meteor fall on the earth, destroying the lemurs home and thus starting the quest for a new one. This movie have amazing 3D effect for an disney movie and its worth watching. Here a bonus, you can watch it as a whole on youtube.

I'm assuming you've watched this already. If you haven't, watch it already. Also, The Castle of Cagliostro gets my definite recommendation.

A movie that comes to mind for me is Le Planete Sauvage. The animation is different than what most people are used to, but I liked it.

I heard good thing of this movie, if I have the time I will watch it. In the meanwhile, another movie!Another oldie that will surely bring nostalgia.
Title: Treasure Planet
Style: 2d/ sci-fi
Treasure Planet is an animated movie adaptation of a book by the name of Treasure Island. Since it begin to be pretty late up here, I'll try to keep it as simple as possible.
Set in the far future, this story depict the adventure of Jim as he search for the fabled Treasure Planet. A planet which is, by the legend, the last home of the greatest pirate of the galaxy. The story say that the pirate, in his last year of life, put all is treasure in it to hide it from is enemy. The actual story is more complicated, but i'M tired, so goodnight all!
On an unrelated note....
DAMM, I just remembered about a movie, but forgot the darn name... I know it's in space too, but the qeust in the story is to find an huge machine that can create planet... I know there an alien kengaroo and weird, AI looking alien...

Okay, I know it's been an eternity since I posted something and I kinda forgot about this thread. So forgive me, as I talk to you about yet another animation movie.
Movie title: Interstella 5555 (the 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5istem)
Genre/style : Sci-fi, musical
This movie is a must see/have if your a fan of the well known DJ duo DaftPunk. Basicaly, this movie is a visualisation of many DaftPunk song. The kinda liked the story, even if its a bit average. It's about some alien music group that get kidnapped by humans to make music on earth. The story is actually more complicated but eh, why spoil everything? So here, the whole movie with good sound quality, for free!
