I only did a 10-day trial. It was alright. Nothing too exciting to be honest.
I have been playing it for a year now and started revving it up this week.
I think it'sz one of the better games I've played, and it's worth the money I pay for it. (to be honest, now that I make money, it doesn't bother me to pay for it)
I like the fact that I can progress without spendng too much time grinding for stuff, like most RPGs. I find I level quickly through the copious amounts of quests.
What does bother me latly s that it's falling out of style. For instance very few people still do all the first quests and venture to early dungeons. This makes it so you can hardly form parties anymore and some quests require those, at least if you want to do them at an appropriate level for items and experience to still matter.
Dungeons are accessable through the dungeon tool, which automatically forms parties across realms, although the queue might take some time. However, a lot of people do the dungeons for the random dungeon feature and in the hopes to get a promissed item. So these guys just go in, decide they don't like the dungeon and drop out of the party, some just drp out halfway, restarting the queue. Also, they tend to go straight for the boss and can leave whole regions, which are nice for eploration and quests, alone. Dungeons are devaluated a bit by this. Finally, it takes away the atmosphere of entering the dungeons and stuff like acquiring the appropiate keys through quests. Dungeons are becoming generic like that.
But today, I had a nice time. I got invited in a guild so I can finally participate in raids and a dungeon run went fairly well. I also finally got to make a pvp kill without facing a l.evel 80 douchebag that can finish me whole in one blow. i was kind of a dick, perhaps cause I outleveled my opponent by three levels or so. Not much, but I was the strongest.

Maybe it's the fact that I played on a private server, but I had 0 fun playing WoW. I forced myself to play for 3 whole hours, but it was such a grind. Maybe I gave up too fast, but I haven't had any urge whatsoever to play it again.

You know, the regular RPG stuff: running around, talking to people, killing random animals, ect.

Are private servers illegal? I'm only asking because i'm having fun with the 10 day trial (which I still have 5 days left of) but I don't see myself wanting to pay however much it is a month to carry on. I feel as though it will get boring very quickly unless you have people to constantly play with.

Ok, yeah it requires you to be into RPG stuff. Essentially RPG's are about running around killing stuff and talking to people. In the end, it's about the story, rather than the skills. As for random animals, one of the perks of WoW, in my opinion, is that it doesn't put creatures out randomly. There is some feral wildlife you can expect in a fantasy world, like bears and spiders and so on. Then there are reas with weirder creatures, but almst always there is some background. Often these areas are involved in quests. want to know what I mean, check wowwiki, though it can be quite a spoiler. You'll notice that contrary to other RPGS, MMORPGs and regular, they have a whole background on enemies and stuff.

Yeah, because you totally specified that in the opening post.
Vague piece of shit.

And you didn't even shove a remote up your ass. That's quite the achievement!
My sister got hooked on WoW. And by that, I mean she took all of her alternate emails and made 1 week accounts on WoW. She had the money to pay for it, and she never did. She's run out of emails now.
