a quick question 2010-07-31 23:50:42 Reply

I got a quick question here, I'm getting very interested in making parody/spoof/crossover trailers for youtube, my question is would burning my dvds on to my computer wreck them in some way.

I can't imagine how it would. Isn't that about half the point of the cds? I'm not a technical expert, but my vote is no, it would not hurt your computer.

I've done it a few times and they still play well. Kinda like how ripping a CD onto the computer doesn't render it useless. Good luck.

Should be fine. Unless, you know, you actually try to set fire to them. In that case yes, yes it will damage them.

I don't see why it would damage your computer. That's kind of the point.

Where's the question? I see a statement but if it's a question where could that pesky question mark be? Hmm, maybe I stole it to make this post.

if you put a flame to a cd then yes
if you are copying them then no, it can burn out your driver after an average of thousands of cd burns

I wouldn't recommend burning your DVDs with a blow-torch onto your tower unit case for any reason at all.

This too will pass.
