I'm just wondering if a mod from the Audio portal could clarify whether or not there'll be a large time before I get confirmed. I don't know the usual waiting time but it's been about two weeks.

Just let me know if I'm still in for a big wait. Cheers.

The waiting lists have been pretty huge, and many people have been given moderator responsibilities to do something about it, but still the waiting list is huge, apparently. You can check if you are banned by trying to upload another track.

If you're not banned, just be patient a little while longer, it might take up to a month or longer nowadays.

Here's some info in an old thread with outdated numbers.

It takes a long ass time for us to get through the list. If none of the mods have contacted you then it could take a little while. Given the length of the current list i think i may ask rucklo if we can have a thread that allows this kind of posting for the sake of helping us weed out the users that are serious in terms of interacting with the community.

We don't need a million threads like this, but one of these might be nice for the time being...

Thanks guys; I've been reviewed and such, now all is well.

I agree though, a sticky thread would be a great idea. I've seen a fair few topics for these inquiries.

the "awaiting approval?" thread is primarily thought to serve as an explanation of why it sometimes takes a while to get approved. The thread was made back in the days when it said on the submission page something along the lines of "the approval is a quick process and will take no more than 4 days".

It partly serve as a way to easier clean up the audio-forum, as anyone who wishes can just post a link in a newly spawned "where's my approval"? type thread. When that's been done, a BBSmod can just drop by and lock the thread up, and/or post the link himself before lockage if noone else have posted it, of course.

If audiomoderators choose to stay tuned to the "awaiting audio approval"- threads and let people skip the line, it's up to them. I personally think that everyone should await their turn, with exceptions being the ones that REALLY needs it, f.ex. if somone needs to have the audio up for it to be credited in a flash or whatever.

There is no need for a new thread of the sort, as most of the information in the "awaiting approval" thread is still up to date.
