I've actually considered building a retro arcade cabinet, but I didn't think of going all-out and paying $400+ for it.

This is really cool though, and it looks like it turned out great.

Man, I saw that at the booth, but I didn't even consider the work that was put into it. Plus I never actually played the demo so I didn't know it was functional. That's awesome :D

My buddy did the plans in his spare time, so that took a couple weeks. Building the cabinet itself and the 1st round of painting just took a weekend. The final sanding, painting, and graphics were on and off over a few weeks because Jeff is super busy, but if you had all the stuff it would probably only take another weekend to paint and put graphics on.

Erg, i had this same idea but not the cool shop to build it.....

Goodluck man! i hope you can give 'Flash Arcade' a run for your money....

How many people are building these? i know of 2 companies now...

Holy crap that is really cool! Make another one and then put a 5gb hard disc in it and fill it with flash games from newgrounds :P ( I mean flash games are like a couple of megabytes so there would not be a need for bigger one :D )

I'm so glad you guys posted this, this is an awesome design for a cab and probably what I'll base mine off of. I like the idea of it being free-standing or tabletop.
