Lol so basically, it's about compassion and care, not about machinery and such. That's what he is complaining about. And how our money is being thrown around and nothing is getting better. We had the best healthcare system in the world, the thing that is lacking is compassin of the doctors/nurses. It's not medically where we are lacking. That's what he is saying. That's barely in my own words, since he explained it so well. Gov't won't fix it. The people who work there will.

Perhaps not... but perhaps it is the current definition of it. Whoever said that all "socialism" must be the classically-defined socialism? Our current democracy isn't exactly the traditionally-defined, our capitalism isn't the traditionally-defined.
Traditional definitions do very little except allow broad ideas to be related between specific plans of action. Perhaps we need to take into context all of the socio-political changes and evolutions that have been made since the inception of the traditional definitions of "socialism" and "democracy" and see them for what they are in their current context. Scandanavia is an excellent example of a hybrid socialist structure that works surprisingly well. Just because the immediate examples of socialism (East Germany and the soviet block, cuba, etc) don't exactly paint with sparkly colors, doesn't mean that ALL socialism is as bad as those socialisms.
Just as not all democracy is as awesome or awful as our own... everything must be taken in context... not just dismissed because it doesn't fit a pat definition from an outdated time.
Tis better to sit in silence and be presumed a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

Republicans saw this coming as far back as Reverend Wright, but the populous ignored it and voted for him.
I found NOTHING racist in ANY of those quotes, hell alot of them had 1. nothing to do with racism 2. speaking out against racism, one of them even spoke out against using race as a tool to make someone who disagree's with you unpopular (i.e. calling them racist).
Besides, are you going to argue the majority of people who run things are rich white people? Newsflash: even the black rappers bosses are rich white people, like legendary Eazy-E, the leader of the NWA.
And it is a pretty well accepted fact that he is muslim, not even Obama denies that.
What do you mean? He went to a Koran school in Indonesia for three years but that was about it since it was the only school he could get into. Unless of course you mean the out of context quote.

I've seen clips of Glenn Beck, and I decided to watch his show to see if he was actually that insane. Maybe the clips are taken out of context, I thought. Either way, I wanted to find out for myself. And after all, maybe it would just be so ridiculous it would give me a good laugh.
Answer: None of the above
I was shocked. Here is a summary of that show.

- Imagine a world...
- Now imagine a world...
- Where would you like to live?
- Contracts are useless.
- Bills are useless.
- Paper is unnecessary.
- We should be able to just shake hands and agree on something.
- FDR destroyed the shape of the economy.
- Woodrow Wilson was the worst president.
- Woodrow Wilson admitted that he hated America.

I have to admit, I was pretty surprised. So have you watched Glenn Beck? A whole show? Thoughts?

Don't forget, it's the liberals that cause climate change, destruction of our free market system, and is against Sarah Palin's plan to turn America into a evangelical nation that is sponsored by failing banks and the oil companies. All those who don't conform with the ruling Tea Party will be put in clinics where they will be drugged and shocked into submission.
Then Glenn would find some way to lump Democrats {and liberals in general} with socialist terrorists who support abortion and claim that they are selling uranium mix to Bin Laden while getting all teary eyed on the only station that would ever believe Beck's bullshit, Fox News.

Do not take Glenn Beck seriously. Not in the least.
He is a scumbag and an idiot. He became a Mormon so he could have sex with his now wife. So, he became religious for have sex(scumbag), when he could have gotten her drunk and had his way (idiot).

I can't tell if he's serious, or if he's just an actor playing a role. Either way, it doesn't matter. No Corporation is interested in the greater good of the people. They're interested in making money. And as long as Glenn Beck's idiotic rambles can be choked through the fountain of tears and spittle, people will continue watching. Whether to be amused by his antics or because they agree with him, it doesn't matter, because with the rise of viewers comes the rise of ratings, and therefore, ad revenue. Money.

America is wandering in the darkness, because when neocons who have power at the time ran this country to the ground, and yet he seems to think that the liberals are ruining the country and Sarah Palin would be the cure all to the country woes.
It makes me wonder why anyone, other than the people who watch Fox news, would treat this guy seriously. Especially to the dumbass guy who sent his 10 year old son to the rally and said to him "this is how democracy works.", more like how religious fascism works.

My family with the exception of my sister follows Fox News and Glenn Beck down to the wire...
Just because their news is different and has "facts" that no other station has...
And they claim I am the one brainwashed.
God help me.

This is exactly why Glenn Beck is more comparable to Alex Jones then let's say Martin Luther King Jr., you could rephrase that into "Just because I know the truth and have the facts that no one else will said and you are the one brainwashed. "

I agree with some of the posters in this thread that Glenn Beck is more or less an actor and gets a little imaginative in his political views. Although, you can't deny that the man DOES say a good bit of truth in his shows. He digs up the scoop on the majority of all politicians and none of it is usually falsified or exaggerated.
As far as him being a Libertarian, I don't agree with that at all. I'd consider him a true Republican. (Not Conservative)
