Who else is looking forward to GW2? My sister was the head of the live team for the first three GW games, and she also spent a lot of time on Nightfall and Eye of the North.

Here's the website.

I play Guild Wars often, and I cannot wait for Guild Wars 2. Easily my favourite MMORPG.

I'm definitely looking forward to this game. At the risk of sounding like a total nerd I can safely say me and friends are going to play, make a guild, and raid and dominate this game. Fuck yeah!

The video they showed for the Elementalist combat looked a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. I'll definitely be looking into this game.

Also, anyone who still plays, post your character. I'm Adarik Cathmore.

Holy shit that scared me. I spelled it wrong, it's Aldarik, not Adarik.

I would have been pissed if he got deleted. I bought him Necro Elite Luxon...

I rarely play anymore but I am hoping the second game will have another ritualist/necro character. My main character is Axel Bradley and if you aren't Luxon then get fucked.

They wouldn't dare get rid of the Necromancer, but I have a feeling they'll give a lot of the Rit's skills to the Necro-- which I really hope doesn't happen. If they do, Necromancer healers are going to have an open secondary profession, making them even better than they currently are.

I played GW for a good 3 years and some odd months. On and off after i beat the campaigns countless times. I'm actually looking forward to GW2, especially after reading up on how much they changed the game play. But truth be told, I lost a lot of my obsession with online PC games as I grew older. In any case, I like the whole 'downed' concept, I'll probably be rockin a great sword and rifle myself.

Yeah I have a feeling they are going to merge the two. I would prefer if they kept them two separate classes and dropped the Mesmer or something lame like that.

I love the Mesmer. It's so looked down upon, but if you give it a chance and play it a little, it's actually really fun.

Mesmer was a really interesting class before they nerfed FC. The reason so many people played it was because of the potential unlocked by combining it with other caster classes. I've gotten taken down by a Fast Casting Aeromancer before, that son of a bitch took forever to kill.

One more thing, if they keep the Assassin, they need to take out Goddamn Shadow Steps. Those things are fucking game-breaking in AB.

Then they should be taken out of PvP. I prefer using AoB for running though.

While I've been playing GW since the beginning, I'm not to big on the abbreviations. I mostly know about the elemental, dervish, and the ranger class. I just have a little bit of running experience, and shadow step has saved my ass many a time.

I was very excited about 7+ months ago. Sadly, I grew bored with GW after completely virtually everything that interested me about the game. After moving onto several other MMOs, I am still a bit excited but not that radical fanatic gamer faness you see around.

I'm not too big on the Elementalist or Ranger. I have a Warrior, Necromancer, Ritualist, Assassin, and Dervish max level with a Mesmer in presearing that I'll probably never touch again. Every time I've played Elementalist it just gets too boring. And to be honest I've never given Ranger much of a chance. I used to run a lot, mainly to Yak's or LA. Didn't really pay well so I stuck continuously running Irontoe's Lair in HM. Good money right there.

Elementalist gets fun with the higher levels, IMO, because you can get a plethora of kickass skills. I also know a bit about Necro.

It's only been 2-3 years. since the announcement, I believe. That's not a long time at all.

I still prefer the Dervish. And I still play on my Warrior a lot, despite him being outdated by all the buffs to the other professions. Defy Pain is great though, he's practically invincible with it. I've played him in FA before, the only thing that posed a threat to him was the Jesus Beam.

My ritualist's secondary was assasin for PvP. He could do a nasty spike that could take down most classes pretty fast. But they nerfed that build or at least some of the skills in the build so it doesn't have the same effect anymore.
