4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsOkay, so my girlfriend wants a popcorn popper for her birthday. We have been together on and mostly off for a little over a year now and she wants a popcorn popper for her birthday. Money is not a problem when it comes to buying presents, I just don't know what would be a better choice.
The two choices I have are either a PRESTO Orville Redenbacher Air Popper or a Paramount Entertainment Movie-Theater Style 6oz popper.
Remember, I am going for taste. Price doesn't matter.
So, you guys get to have some input. Have at it.
I'd go retro for this one. The other looks like it might inexplicably stop working at any moment (like my Magic Bullet).
Do you want to get her a boring kitchen appliance or a freaking awesome looking machine that pops popcorn? Go with option 2, obviously.
Movie Theater Style all the way and while your at it buy a movie theater too.

Which one is retro? Air Poppers are pretty old but so are movie theater style ones.

I just might!

I might start one in my hometown next summer if I can get a couple of investors. My town lacks one, so it would be a fantastic investment. Maybe buy into Wehrenberg and get a real nice theater going.

If she likes the sound of things, go for the conical one which is less messy.
According to the reviews, the cubic one with the gold detailing actually is very easy to clean and wipes down easy. Of course, the little one is much less messy.

Honestly, in all aspect, maybe excluding preparation, I think the theatre popper is the best choice. Trust me, she'd like the theatre popper more than the boring, plain looking air popper anyways.
I AM THREAD KILLER!
Orville redenwhatever because he's on the tv

I am not sure. I just don't know.
The red one. It just looks a lot more epic than the other one and it can make more popcorn.

Then buy her a fucking movie theater, then you can watch movies, run a buisness, eat other crap.
And even better, eat your goddamn mother-fuckin' popcorn
:ok?

I'd go with the Orville popper. We have a very old style popcorn maker in the same style as that and it works wonders.

If you're going for taste then you have to go with the hot oil popper. Air poppers make the popcorn taste more bland and dry. I have an air popper and a hot oil popper, similar to the ones in the pictures. The problem with the hot oil popper is that you have to keep making small batches to get enough for a big bowl of popcorn. The air popper will be a little easier and quicker to make popcorn with, but the popcorn won't taste as good as it will with the air popper. Plus I think the hot oil popper just looks better as well.
Hope this helps.

Fixed.
The Red One looks so fucking classic.
I'd take that one.
But since it's pretty damn big (and probably complicated), I'd take the small white modern one.
Yeah, I'd go with the red one. I like the style a lot more.
