I went to elementary around 1999-2003 (I went to homeschooling for my fourth grade year.)

I remember my SNES and the times we shared, and how I'd rush to my 50 pound 'hi-tech' Panasonic mini TV every weekday to see Digimon. But even as a child I was surrounded by technology, but in a different magnitude of speed.

With slower technology at that time, I had learned to be patient to see results, unlike newer gadgets and Fiber-Optic based internet that goes into the MB or GB range rather than KB/s from the Dial-Up days.

Ahh...reminiscing to times when Cartoon Network was actually good. And Toonami, who can forget that?

back when I was in elementary school 1999-2005 we didn't have Iphones or blackberry ps3 bluraei crap
You know what we had?
We had DVD's, 5th generation consoles, battery phones at best
We DROVE to DRIVE, not to watch some mini-tv hanging off the roof of your car
Computers? Yea we had those, They were grey and slow with 2 ton monitors

Playing outside is mostly what my generation did!
When we weren't outside we were inside watching TV off our 90 ton curved screens with a lot of static

I'm 13 and my first console was a N64. On road drips my parents had a 5 inch tv with a built-in vhs player and we would watch Tarzan and Toy Story. I even remember playing snake on my dad's nokia with the black and white screen, so not all 13-16 year olds are like that.

I'm old enough to know that when you say youngsters, you're an old soul.

I'm over 20 years old and i share your sentiments, but these kids have grown up with a technocratic lifestyle and don't know any different. I for one play games like metro 2033 and crysis and am blown away by the graphics, but then i go back to Deus Ex and i can't bring myself to get through it because it looks so god damn shitty, my standards are now higher, and you should demand perfection and improvement like everyone else if we hope to have a much better and realistic form of technology that suits us.

I'm 13, and I just got done looking for the A/V cords to the PS2 and the Dreamcast, and I don't have a phone. I don't have a laptop, but we do have a blu-ray player. (not many movies though)

However I do agree with this statement because a majority of people I know (that have the money) are like this. I'm talking to this girl after Christmas break and she goes on about her new laptop, phone, and iPod. Me and my twin brother got a Wii for Christmas. I'm not saying "OMG I'm so jealous of you" I'm just agreeing.

I love technology but that's one of the worst side effects about it. My brother for example is hooked on technology. If he's not watching satellite TV, he's playing his DS FULL BLAST VOLUME. If he's not playing that then he's most definitely enjoying a movie on the Playstation 2. I admit my life does revolve around technology but there was a simpler time. All I needed back in the day was my imagination.
