So I am looking forward to Diablo 3.. But... what if it sucks... Like REALLY sucks!

How many people on here played Diablo2.. I don't care.. that was a rhetorical question. I love Diablo 2. I loved Diablo 1 more.

Are there ANY games where you can party up with people, set in a dungeon-esque setting, where you can at any point turn your back on your party and murder them for fun? You know... Like REAL adventurers do?

I am making such a game, but in the mean time I would like to play such a game.. IS THERE A NON-CAREBEARFAG GAME Still being played Online anymore?

I agree that world of warcraft is in no way a groundbreaking game, but saying it's absolute crap just makes you sound like one of those hipster faggots who leans on his locker in the hallway spouting shit like "Yeah, <INSERT CULTURALLY RELEVANT OR POPULAR THING HERE> was crap. Ideal Game:

Has guns, explosions, naked chicks, and magic.

Has a level up system, that DOESN'T cap out but is still well balanced.

Story vs Level - This must be balanced at all times, no boring gay questing and the game not starting until level 5 million.

PVP - Umm this should be FREE, as in, "Hey guy whats going on" *STAB* "Oh your dead now."

Carebear free, like... If I want to murder babies with a rusty chainsaw then I should be able to rape them too! (I think I said that right..)

PVM - This should be awesome and balanced, but I like killing a lot of stuff at one time, like thats awesome.

PVE - YES I SHOULD BE ABLE TO KILL MOUNTAINS AND TREES TOO!

Awesome Rating on the coolness factor should be rated at CHUCK NORRIS.

No this is not a troll, I am serious about everything. I want a super bad ass game that isn't boring.

You won't find a game with all those, MMO's take millions of dollars and thousands of man hours to design. Most companies prefer to specialize in either PvP or PvE, RPG model or FPS model, etc. You won't find a game like what you're describing because it doesn't exist, and I don't know any real MMOs that let you kill children. So sorry, stick to killing children IRL, it's free and you could probably use the exercise.

Well, it doesn't have to be an MMO... as long as its ONLINE and I can play with some friends. I just hate the current choice in games we have anymore. I want to kill and destroy and become a god and then be fought against by thousands of players and they battle me and I am a Territory boss because my character level would be 9001! and I would be a giant demon-like creature that a massed thousands of spells and skills and a renown of like a end game boss but I'd be a player, and people could fight me for loot! it be awesome. Thats why I am making my own game, because I can't find any game like the one I want to play.

I thought I'd ask to see if there was such a game in existance.

Hmm, I wonder if anyone can suggest a pretty decent free MMO out there? When I say decent, I mean pretty good for being free. sometimes I feel like finding something new to kill time.

Personally, I reccommend FFXI, but only if you are a serious player that does not suck ass. The game is built on the idea of teamwork so most of the quests and missions require party members to do. Also, there is MUCH more grind for xp and money than WoW or other MMO's which sounds like a bad thing, but is really a good thing. Almost everyone in that game knows how to play the game and does their job well, unlike the lolnubs of WoW.

I want to play an MMO where you can do anything you want, and not a gay ass game like:

Essentially you're looking for a deathmatch type of game, but staged in fantasy settings.

Yup. I could careless about perfect balance, just balanced and proportional skills. Like if a level 1 character manages to outsmart a level 10000000 character by making him charge off a cliff, and the level 10000000 character forgot to get an ability to fly or anything, so he dies, and said level 1 character gains proportional experience but in a way like he gains all this power but it is slowly killing him because he needs to advance to control the power or die.
