This first thingy was for my final in my painting class. I found out that I had a final in that class two days before it was due, so it was a bit rushed but I still like it. I'm thinking about taking a non-phone picture of it and putting it in my gallery, but we'll see.

Now this piece has character, not so impressed by what else you've posted. Maybe the time crunch/ you working on it it quickly/intuitively had some effect, focus on whatever made you flow this direction and we will see more life breathed into your art. let loose on that shit

I think the time crunch did have something to do with it. I think I have a tendency to overpaint and because of the lack of time I kind of just had to say "fuck it, it looks fine" rather than trying to perfect it. Thanks for the feedback though, I'll try to be a bit looser in the future.

Anyway I can't fucking draw the hair on that last guy so I'm taking a break from him for a bit. In the meantime any suggestions about how to do that hair? It's driving me crazy.

The hair link helped quite a bit, thanks! I've been pushing the contrasts on the skin and it looks much better. I'll upload progress tomorrow. As for the robot, I've started adding lines. I'm going to have to rework the hand some time tomorrow, but I'm too tired to mess with it now.

Redid the arms, near time to color. Not sure If I should put an antenae on top of him or not, some rabit ears or something

Rabbit ears sound sinister! like straight those lines are and how simple the piece is. can't wait to see what colors you choose for this, i predicted colors in my head i want to see which i get right if any at all.

Ooh, I hope I don't disappoint :D

Rabbit ears on the top looked kind of silly so I went with a kind of frankenstein monster thing. I kinda like the lightning arching off the sides of it, but let me know if any of you think it looks too silly. I think the next update on this should have color, so here goes!

I like that combination of blue and yellow, as for the design it kinda reminded me of the necron Monolith from warhammer 40k

Portrait practice 1
Gonna try and do a couple of these every now and then, haven't had time recently because of volunteering shit. Thoughts for what I can improve on for next time? Took about an hour.

More practice. Speedpaint again, probably spent 45 minutes on this one

Nice going so far man, i'd say don't put a time limit on yourself at this point. Try to really get some accurate studies and then doing some personal work and apply the studies instead of just doing quick stuff.

I don't really know what else to do. I think I'll go in and clean it up a bit. It was more a study than anything else, but I'm kind of burnt on what I'm working on atm, so I'll work on it! thanks for the comment :D

Oh! I also went in and touched up this a bit. I'm leaving for D.C tomorrow around noon, so I may be out of pocket for awhile, which is why I thought I'd dump some art before I left. I'd really like some criticism/thoughts on the first picture I posted too. Thanks!

Sculpting some coils for a coffee mug. The bottom began to crack early on, so I had to redo it with a slab as the bottom. Turning out good so far, I'm firing it sometime tomorrow and glazing it on thursday.
