If this topic doesn't get deleted I want to try to get it past the first page.

Anyway what helps you fall asleep? I like to sleep with the television on, my sister listens to music, and my dad falls asleep when watching a movie, or UFC. What about you?

Just call me Psycho for short.

Apparently, lettuce soup can help you fall asleep. The chemicals released by lettuce are a kind of sedative.

I can usually sleep well while zoning out to south park commentary on their DVDs.

it also helps me to imagine a fake movie or something in my head :3

Well I was gonna say something stupid like masturbation but I think I'll be honest here:

I usually drink beer or vodka for a few hours before I go to sleep and an hour and a half before I sleep I usually pop a seroquel or benadryl. I used to smoke bowls as well but I can't do that anymore so more beer and pills it is.

its kinda a sad existance..

QA-Bot doesn't sleep. However, un-plugging the cord to QA-Bot would help.

Complete lack of any source of natural light, some fluorescent lights - hopefully with no real glow, just bright sparkles of love, and the rain. God, I love the rain, to the point where I actually switched my fans and air-con on high just to simulate the sound. Now, I have rain ambiance.

When it does actually rain, though, living in a shed has it's full merits.

I have a mini DVD player, and a collection of cult-classics and other stuff like TV series.. I just watch that for a while till I get drowsy. Right now I'm watching the full season of Band of Brothers.

Listening to music. Usually, I listen to the complete Cowboy Bebop soundtrack, or a mix of Queens of the Stone Age, Incubus, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and HIM. Really, it depends on my mood.

Tonight it's probably going to be heavily laden with Incubus.

I know, I'm joinin the Navy so I had to give up smokin bowls for...possibly 8 years :( I'm sure I'll ween myself off the drink and pills in the next month. Then I'll be a sober person... I hope to never be a "sober person" though. They suck :( They're like "marijuana's bad for the brain" and "i dont need pills to get high, im high on life"

I intend to be every bit as stoner for the rest of my life :) 10 years is a long time to develop a persona around smokin weed and I only get 8 in the navy, my weed life will overtake that navy like nothing.

But being mostly sober for 8 years is gonna blow :P

Prior lack of sleep. Seriously, get some shitty sleep, then the next night, you will pass the fuck out. And sleep for like, 14 hours, cuz you pass out at like 7....

Well, I like to be cold when I sleep. I cannot fall asleep hot or sweaty, so I'll usually have a fan or blowing on me at all times.

I also have an alarm clock that has built-in nature sounds, like rain, the forest, or thunder. I usually turn it up as loud as it will go and leave it on all night.

I used to need sound or a little light to sleep but I hate that now. I prefer to have complete darkness though in the summer I usually have my fan on and I'm ok with that noise. To get to sleep though I've always needed to think of something unrelated to me like a fantasy or some sort. If I don't do that then I think about life and that always turns dark to me, so I have to think of unreal stuff to get to sleep.

Thinking how my personal life is going, go off on a random tangent, clear my head, have dirty thoughts, clear my head.

That is my process.
