Simple enough, which game did you enjoy more?

I'd say OoT, by a longshot. But I still enjoyed MM.

MM, i liked its mass amount of side quests that always kept you busy, other then the 2 side quests in OoT, once your done those, nothing more to do then beat Gannon, and then its game over...

i have made my point

You have a good point, although OoT seems to take forever to beat without any outside help, and with MM's time limit, I'm not really sure as to which game does provide more time consuming content.

I never finished Majora but it had the best graphics on N64.

MM, not only did I enjoy the game more and the side quests made it feel way longer, I also cared for the characters a lot more. MM just did a lot better job at making you get to know them.

I like Majora's Mask and all, but I don't like how you have to go back to the first day just to save in that game. (The owl staues ain't any better) So i'm gonna go with Ocarina of Time.

Never played MM, but I have played OoT.

Therefore, OoT, even though OoT was my least favorite Zelda game.

Well, MM was a lot more challenging than Oot. If you were aiming for a 100% it would take you a lot of effort to get that in MM

I won't deny Ocarina's greatness, but the mask system, the time thing, and all that in Majora's Mask provide more interesting gameplay. The quests to get the masks, meanwhile, establish some characters rather well. And there's no feeling on Earth that beats what I feel in the depths of my soul after playing the Song of Healing for someone who needed it, except maybe the feeling when you accomplish their unfinished business with that mask on. I'm getting all teary-eyed just thinking about it, something that only happens to me for three things: this game, certain moments in Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Aerith's death in FF7. There's never been a better game than Majora's Mask.

I would have to say Majora's mask simply because when you get the special Milk giving you unlimited magic... well... becoming a Goron (or whatever they were called) and going round and round and round the city in a spiky ball simply never got old.

Not only that, but the mask quests themselves were not simple, specially that Pikachu looking one. God I hated that

I prefered the dungeons in OoT, but to be honest, everything else from MM was better.

OoT and MM are incomparable to each other. They're the yin-yang symbol of the N64.

Tough call. Ocarina of Time was longer and felt like more of an adventure. However, everything in Majora's Mask was so fleshed out and loaded with side quests. You couldn't just go from dungeon to dungeon, and you had to work to get to the next one. I liked that. Still, Ocarina of Time is one of the best games ever and I can't say Majora's Mask beat it. :/ Idk.

I have memories of completing OoT with my dad and stuff when I was younger, and while I played Majoras pretty much solo with a little interest from my dad, I never got around to finishing it which was a shame, and we ended up selling it eventually along with the n64. About 8 years later my dad was in a shop and he saw a majoras mask cartridge so he buys it and when I put it in a newer n64 we had, it had my old save file "poohead". It was like destiny, so I guess I should finish it sometime.

How can't they be compared?
They are the same genre, of the same series, using the same game engine, on the same console, with one of them being a direct continuation of the other.

They're the yin-yang symbol of the N64.

What does that even mean?
They aren't complete opposites, if anything that would be Mario 64 and OoT.

I've only played OoT, and MM can no longer be bought (except on WiiWare, I hope).

They're quite different, but I'd have to go with OOT because it's more open, there's lots more to do and you really feel like you're on a LoZ quest. Majora's Mask constantly felt a little off to me, and though I completed it, I never really felt at home with it.

I had the same feeling, although MM's game play seemed to be smoother it didn't much feel right.
But I still love it.

Both good games, very fun, but OoT wins out.

If, somehow, Majora fit the number of temples into it's cartridge that Ocarina touted, I might have a reason to get the masks besides bouts of ADD. Also, the first cycle of majora's mask was worse than any water temple to a new player.

Awesome post great job!

There's something worse than the Water Temple?!

I suppose a 3 hour long tutorial that gives little to no direct information, that restarts if failed, and has to be completed in the last 5 minutes before said time runs out would fit the bill.

Awesome post great job!

Maybe it's just me, but I've come to the conclusion everyone is mentally retarded. I was around 7 or 8 when OoT came out, and I beat the game in 2 days. I never had any problems with the water temple, and I find it ridiculous that people think its the hardest temple in all of LoZ.

I personally prefer Majora's Mask. The gameplay and story are much different than the average Zelda game and being outside of Hyrule game it room to go nuts. Ikana and Stone Tower are some of my favourite locations and it was just really fun.

I keep saying to everyone that it's just "try every door, change water level, repeat" but they never listen. Great Bay Temple was much harder.

Both excellent games.

I'd say a tie.
