4.07 / 5.00 13,902 ViewsI was born in San Francisco. I've spent, like, 2 hours in L.A., and I've been to Albany. What else... I live 45 minutes away from Hartford, my city is right next to Springfield, MA, I've been to Boston twice... I think that's it.

Oklahoma City

I've come to the conclusion that I really like the city life for visiting, but I don't think I could really stand living in something as busy as New York City or Sao Paulo.
San Francisco: in my opinion, one of the best cities in the world.
Oakland: not nearly as awesome as SF, but they have the better baseball team.
San Jose: not much to holler at aside from being a hub for tech commerce.
Sacramento: It's okay, I guess. Haven't been there since Gray Davis was governor.
Las Vegas: the Strip is pretty awesome, but beyond that it's kind of bland.
Portland/Salem: okay, technically I only passed through these places, but I've still been there.
Seattle: also one of the best cities in the world, but for totally different reasons than SF. Best soccer team in the country.
Tacoma: the Oakland of Washington. I'm not even kidding.
Spokane: could have lived without it. Kind of like Vegas without the Strip.
Vancouver BC: Haven't been there yet, but it's close by. Just need a passport.

yeah it seems really cool to visit, I heard if you live in Washington you need what's called an "enhanced driver's license" or whatever to pass through the border.
I live in London - kinda busy but the multiple parks and hidden cultural gems break it up nicely.
NYC - too busy, food will kill you and the traffic is over the top. The people are alright and the street system is much simpler than over here.
Barcelona - Lovely, great food, great culture, lovely sun and not too busy.
Paris - Kinda busy and the people are quite rude but best food for a city I've ever been to, good culture, lovely tourist spots and some pretty amazing shopping.
Düsseldorf - Just passed through but seemed quite nice.
I've also been to various other large towns/cities around Europe but they tend to stay the same as other urban areas in their respective countries.
NYC, Tokyo, Beijing, Shanghai, Rome, Paris, London, San Francisco, Sacramento, New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Honolulu. There's definitely others but I can't remember.
Chicago, IL
Clinton, IA
Milwaukee, WI
Springfield, IL
That is about it.
Toronto, London, and Peurto Vallarta. I go to Toronto once every two months or so, I went to London when I was 2, and I went to Peurto Vallarta, Mexico when I was... 10-ish...
I live in Asheville which is starting to become a major city. I've also been to Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. Not too many but i've traveled a good bit to just regular old cities.
Barcelona: Very nice place, but it's crowded like shit. Also, every second inhabitant owns a motor scooter, which gets quite annoying after about 3 seconds.
Glasgow: Again a nice place, but a bit dirty. It's a place where there's a lot of heavy industry in the surroundings so the houses are covered with smut. Also the glaswegian accent is VERY hard to understand (especially for a foreigner).
Edinburgh: A more "posh" area than Glasgow, the accent isn't too bad here (easy to understand) but it's crowded with tourists, especially the castle.
Munich: Don't know if you can call it a "major city", but I have been there anyway. :P
If german is a foreign language for you, you might have a very hard time understanding the locals.
Hamburg: Well, I live here and it's the best city in the world. :P

Nearly everyone in this topic have only been in major cities in USA. While I've never even visited USA. Although I've visited plenty of cities in Europe. And a few in Asia.
I need a sig.

Dunno what would count as major, but -
Munich - great food, great shopping place, like the sights, which are not as bundled together and are so rarely overcrowded with turists. slightly annoying language XD
Paris - loud, awesome subway sistem, lack of what you'd consider French food unless you are staying in a hotel, overcrowded sights. So many turists you don't know what language is spoken there.
Berlin - quite large, since its somehow badly defined where it begins and where it ends, especially when you go there as a turist. Its great how you can use all the busses and trains with one ticket, though it's easy to go to a dark, distant, unknown place because of it. The city has quite a difference between more well known places, like those around Brandenburg tor (or whatever the name was) and Checkpoint C, and its outer parts with either lakes (fuck i met a wild pig in the middle of that city!) and also outer parts where most of the people actually seem to live.
Ljubljana - locally defined as a city, but its really small, and its quite a mess overall.
Zagreb - only seen it briefly, and i really don't know what i would do there if i ever went there again.
San Francisco - when i was there the weather was quite windy, with alot of waves on the sea so it was like... kind of an apocalypse with awesome candy stores. Oh well i guess i don't remember much, the jet lag observation skills away...
San Diego - Too much sun, too much wind, too much junk food, impossibly overpriced fruits, never found vegetables that i could buy during my stay... public transport with air conditioner set to 50 degrees below outside temperature which nearly made me freeze to the seat every day there. People with very varied interests and world views, so there was lots to do and talk about. On the other hand also people in living conditions i havent seen worse anywhere i've been. Great surfing shops, waves and good instructors for beginners like me and my friends^^
Las Vegas - A drive there that lasts forever, crowdy as hell, basically like a light bulb testing area. Rude people, making a fuss about every inch of a wrong move. Didn't really like it, i probably expected too much since i've only known it from movies prior to my visit... it was too much "gimme your money or leave quick" everywhere... Probably seen the wrong side of it i guess...
Miami - Really hot place, though we've been to a great beach while we were there. The age of the average person there seems to be quite high. It hard to buy food, since its not really what it seems. "Chocolate cookies" didn't taste like chocolate at all, what seemed and was bought as "100% strawbery juice" later turned out... i don't remember, either it was very little strawberies, or weren't there any at all, i don't remember? Restaurants with menus just so full with 1000 types of extremly fatty foods. Though people were nice everywhere, as i remember.
Honolulu - the whole city seems to be just built for turists. Every second building is a shop, and they all offer similar products. I don't really understand how any of them survives in such competition. A good variety of restaurants with foods from across the world. While skateboarding is nearly extinct in the place where i live, there's really many people who skateboard there.
London - i hope to go there sometime soon again. It looked like it doesn't just have turist areas and non turist areas like some places, but every street you walk through seems to have its own, special character. Though i do remember being really confused with a grocery store with just everything wrapped in black paper and thick plastic, and i basically lived of muffins while i was there. The people i met there and was therefore going sightseeing with were quite fond of alcohol and weed, and since i wasnt yet 18 then i was basically forbidden to leave them to walk around on my own. Gotta be more carefull who will be with me next time, since it kills much of the fun otherwise.
Zurich - quite a relaxing and nice place, i remember walking around there for quite a distance, and it was really nice when even though it was sunny it wasnt too hot. Though i did get alot of bird shit on myself at one point. Dont go there and stand under trees you havent inspected them for pigeons. It just might start raining and it will not be rain XDXD

I know a candy store or two there but I wonder how awesome the ones you went to were.

they actually did that in the public transit? haha wow... well at least it was sunny when you visited, cuz it was cloudy and barely warm in the afternoon when I was there last week, and it was July when it did that... weird I know.
Uh..
London, Perth and Paris.
That's it.
London, birmingham, norwich(LOL), paris, lyon, NYC and thats about it.
It could be one or two more and I just don't remember. But Chicago and Milwaukee. Both were fine lol.
The sig that I'm wearin? Awesomely made by Skaren!
Also, I like annoying Americans by calling English football "real football" and American football "rugby".-Lost-Chances
Chicago, Illinois, a lot of cool stuff, though you don't want to go to the south side at night.
Detroit, Michigan, went to an anime convention there once with some friends, it was damn cold, even in November.
Orlando, Disney World/Epcot, a bunch of t-shirt shops, and went to a few Magic games.
Nassau, Sun and sand and a lot of bars.
Cincinnati, I know a lot of people from there, and I often travel there during the summer months.
Houston, Lived there for 6 and a half years, a lot of drug dealers though.
That's about it.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Cancun, Vancouver, L.A, and Orlando.
Vancouver is the biggest piece of shit city though, but I did go through the slums, where in the other cities I didn't.
I would much rather list the countries I've been to because listing all the cities would be way too long...but eh, I'll just list the major ones I guess.
Atlanta
New York City
Boston
Houston
Dallas
Austin
San Francisco
Napa Valley (wine country, I guess it's a major city?)
Miami
Orlando
Vienna, Austria
Madrid, Spain
Jerusalem, Israel
Amman, Jordan
San Jose, Costa Rica
Managua, Nicaragua
San Salvador
Guatemala City
Tegucigalpa, Honduras
San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Won't list the minor cities (Yonkers, etc) I've been in a couple of states.

it's a well known place and I live around the "Wine Country" area but they aren't big cities, just a well-known region.

I remember us going to one and it seemed huge with tons of different sweets and such.. Don't remember where exactly in the city it was though. And it is also true that where i normally live, there are really no candy stores - i only know of one which is a candy store by name but it is really small and it actually sells about half liquor half candy, so it isn't a true candy store at all really...
Anyway, with all this talking about cities, visiting an Asian one would really be nice...
Does Kansas City count? I was raised there. In the hood. Word.
Oh, and I've been to Tampa Bay and San Francisco.
Boston, Hartford, NYC, Orlando, Seattle, and Philadelphia.
Seattle and Philly are by far my favorite.
Houston, the city memphis tennessee
I live in Toronto (That counts as a major city), and I also have been to Ottawa and Montreal.
And that's all.... I wish I could do more traveling but I hate it.
New York City, Helsinki, Chicago, Tampa, Miami, Boston, and Philadelphia

The biggest cities I've been to are Omaha in Nebraska, and St. Paul in Minnesota. I went to a cool zoo in Omaha and a museum of science in St. Paul. Yeah. Not too exciting.
