The song that holds a special place in my heart is Soothsayer by Buckethead. It was the song I was listening to when Sanjay announced that he was leaving newgrounds on stickam. Now every time I play it I tear up a little because I miss him.
So what songs like that do you have?
Just the Two of Us by Bill Withers and Grover Washington
THE R&B song that lit a flame in me
Now I love R&B most of all!
Another absolutley beautiful piece by Buckethead, has always been great listening on bright summer's day, and it was what was on in the background when my second girlfriend said yes.
Aphex Twin - [Drukqs #26] Taking Control
ever so dear to my heart, when it was pumping 10 hits of this and that, couple lines of kittens and 2 cups of that good ol bhang
Chopin Funeral March. Every time I hear this, I feel emotions of happiness and livelihood.
I was formerly known as "Jedi-Master."
"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."--Dr. Seuss
As homo as it is. Sugar, We're Goin Down. will always bring me back to a time in 8th grade when me and my two best friends, one of which I haven't talked to for four years had some of the best times I've experienced to date.
I guess I hit my prime in 8th grade and this was one of the most popular songs at the time.
Takes me back, makes me sad, nostalgic. I don't know, I'll never forget this song though.
Roll The Fire, by Conception.
That song reminds me of good days at work. Good times indeed.
new american classic by taking back sunday
(:
it reminds me of my boyfriend
woop woop
:D
I introduced my (now ex) girlfriend to it, quoting it and saying "Dear God, the only thing I ask of you is to hold her when I'm not around, when I'm much too far away". It was always one of my favorite things to say to her, and we always just kind of ignored the fact that the song's about the guy regretting breaking up with the girl because of something that was happening at that moment.
Later on in our relationship, that happened but in reverse, so whenever I hear this song, I get a massive emotional charge, because she was really a big part of my life.
Too many..
Though lets name a few;
It was a song me and a girl I used to know years ago online called our own, and everytime I hear it, even now I always think of her and all the fun we had before we stopped talking. I hope she's doing well in life, the last time we spoke she seemed very detached and it scared me.
I have a brother called Daniel, so no surprises that this reminds me of him. It actually makes me tear up a little. Here are a few lyrics; "Daniel my brother you are older than me. Do you still feel the pain? Of the scars that won't heal, your eyes have died but you see more than I. Daniel you're a star in the face of the sky." Just makes me feel sad about losing my older dear brother.
Now my other brother Carl. All through the 90s all I heard from his bedroom was Oasis. He was (still is) the biggest Oasis fan. He even got married last year in Manchester the day he went to see Oasis in concert. But yeah in the summers especially all I heard bursted in our house was Oasis and especially this song. It's not his favourite one anymore I think but he always said he'd love it played at his funeral (morbid I know) and when I hear it I just think of him and our youth and it's a lovely song.
He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother - The Hollies
More brother stuff.. This song is another firm favourite in our family. My dad used to sing it to his brother, he was always the older protective brother and it's sweet and that tradition has been passed onto my brothers who again sing the song for each other and for me I think of them too for it, and think of their bond. I'm mushy for the family I tell ya.
And now just songs that mean something personal to me, mostly because of their lyrics or where I was in my life when they met something to me.
Wolf Like Me - TV On The Radio
As time goes by, you will see that we're going to be free.
You and me, we'll touch the sky, can't you see in your minds eye?
Anything from Radiohead's The Bends. Listen to it and find out.

There are dozens of songs that suit the description provided in the original post so I will only choose a few. I'll go for 5 of the most popular songs out of the list so that it's easier for others to understand what i'm talking about.
Opens up iTunes and looks at most played.
Ahh yes, number 1 on the list has to be You've Got The Love by Florence & The Machine.
This song always reminds me of two things; my mum, and running. It reminds me of my mum because well, this song sums up how I feel about her pretty well. As for running, this song is the power song on my nike+ workout mix. I.e it plays whenever I hit the powesong button, i.e it plays whenever I feel I can't go any further. The song has yet to fail see me through a rough patch during a run or a race.
Next, song number 2. Alejandro by Lady GaGa. Ahh. This ones quite a bigge. This song reminds me of everything I love and admire about Lady GaGa. It reminds me to stay true to myself and to be proud of who I am.
Song number 3. Dancing On My Own by Robyn. This song reminds me of the first person I fell for, completely. Yet there was no possible way I could be with them. They were always desperately longing for somebody to love them, I could have been that person. It makes me really, really sad.
Song number 4. If I Were A Boy by Beyonce. This song reminds me of my early years in Glasgow. It reminds me of some of the people I miss most, that I regrettably drifted away from during my time there because of various other things.
And last but not least, song number 5. Hysteric by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. This track reminds me of the spring and summer of 2009 and all the great times I had back then. It never fails to make me smile. Such a lovely, lovely track.
nobody goes there anymore. its too popular.
George Rafferty's Baker's street
This song changed the way I viewed music.
