Am I a Bad Person?

Alright so, today I was at walmart exploring the game section as usual, when some some 11 year old kid started screaming and crying becuase he couldn't find Call of Duty: Black Ops and it "came out on tuesday". Now, if you know anything about video game pop culture, you would know that said game doesn't come out until november. So I went up to the kid and yelled at him "SHUT THE FUCK UP, IT DOESN'T COME OUT UNTIL TUESDAY!"
The kid ran away to find his mommy and the guy who worked there have me a high five
Does this make me a bad person? How would you handle this kid that wouldn't shut up after multiple people told him the game's not out yet?

Ok I'm just going to say this and this is my opinion so don't get all pissy at me but I believe it should be illegal for kids under 13 to play M rated games. Or at least have the clerk be required to tell the parent the content of the game.

What you did is a bad thing, because you scared a poor child who's fault it is not that he did not know about the videogames properly, because he is not resourceful enough yet to realise how to find that kind of thing out.

However if you realise it is a bad thing, and feel remorse, I would suspect that you are not a bad person.

Well, one of the dislikes is that majority of kids play Mature Games, especially on live were they cry and get annoying.

it is illegal for kids under 18 to buy M rated games

You're not a bad person for yelling at the child, though. He should know how to act in public. The parents play a bigger part though. I can guarantee that if I was that kid, my mom would have pulled me out of the Wal-mart and hit me for such behavior.

I disagree. That very much depends on the child. Some, if the parents will start becoming annoyed or hostile towards them will start screaming and making a scene compared nothing to what it was before. And you can see that youself in many families that have many children, and i doubt the parents change so drastically from when they have one child to a few years later when they have the next. One child can be perfectly nice and shut up after they tell him to stop while his brother might scream on top of his lungs in percieved agony and throw himself on the floor in a similar circumstance.

So parents with one nice child will be especially hard on parents who may have a child who reacts differently. And if the child screamed and cried in a store as the OP describes im pretty sure the parents heard it from someone before, parenting advice and such.
