Tips for large Flash Movie 2010-06-27 18:25:26 Reply

Hey, I'm making a large flash movie. I just need tips or suggestions on how I should I go about this. The things I am worried about are:
>How to reduce audio lag, (I'm going to have bgm, voices, and sfx all going at the same time)
>How should I use layers to help me animate, and how should I use symbols to cut down on file size.
>Should I / how would I use "Scenes" effectively.

Overall, I just want to know some things that would help me when starting a large flash movie. Things maybe you would have liked to know that would've made it easier on you.

very good advise there, storyboards also help to break down the animation into small animated sequences, and also help you from getting lost.

Regarding scenes, I never actually use multiple scenes when creating a flash movie. I only use them for dividing up games while still keeping them under one .fla.

Also, storyboards are very important while creating a long movie. It keeps you on track and helps you not get lost.
