I have a question about starvation

I have a question.
So how are people starving in Africa still, why don't they just have less children so they don't make their children be born with such a shitty life?

Well the main reason being, in the average nuclear household (look it up if confused) there are 2 parents and 2 children. In a farming household, you need to have as many children as possible so you can get as much produce from the fields as possible.

Frankly, I think it is selfish for ANYONE to have kids while living under those conditions. I would go so far as to say we need to send food laced with sterility drugs over to Africa. If you cannot take care of yourself, you do NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to have children!!!

The OP is correct, if the people of Africa behaved like honorable human beings they would have died out a long time ago.

Some of them work under the assumption that as there is a very high infant death rate, the more kids you have, the more likely one of them is going to survive. Of course, this also means that food and water need to be shared across more people, so each gets less and is more likely to starve. But more kids also means more potential workers to bring in food and money.

I have said this ever since I heard "starving children in Africa" for the first time.
My immediate thoughts were "Then why the fuck are they still having children?"
If you cant support yourselves as adults, you probably shouldn't have had three children and brought more mouths to feed into the world....
