I couldn't miss the Art Games collection on the frontpage
http://www.newgrounds.com/collection/art games.html

Am I the only one who thinks this is wrong?
I mean, who decides which games are art and which are not? What makes a game "artistic" enough for the collection?

I would consider most games an art... Or most singleplayer story-based at least (but that's not a condition)

That being said, I would suggest to rename the collection. Most of the games in there would be classified as experimental (there is actually a collection for that, but I fear people missunderstood its point as well)

i think this is stupid and i'm really surprised this actually happened. i think everyone could consider videogames art, just like one could call a great automobile art. but no one would ever make a stupid genre for cars like "art automobiles"

Not exactly

A game can have a story, an atmosphere... It can evoke emotions, make you think about some aspects of your life (that's how I felt after finishing Planescape: Torment), take your breath by a composition of visuals and music.
A game can give you an experience no book or movie can.
(Or it can be just a pure entertaiment (most online games are))

Cars can't do that, not in such way
