3.93 / 5.00 4,634 ViewsThis morning I had a trippy out of body experience. I sleep on the top bunk with my roommate. When I woke up, I couldn't move. Every time I tried, it's like I am doing it, but my actual body isn't moving. Kind of like it's just my consciousness moving, and not my body. It's a very... Weird experience.
I got up (Well, my consciousness got up), and jumped off the top bunk. Only to see my roommate still sleeping. I tried to open the door and go try using the computer, but hey! I can't touch anything. I just went through everything. Eventually, I got bored, and tried to "reconnect" with my body. I tried oh so desperately. Lining up my fingers, toes, and dick perfectly, but no luck.
I realized something though. I didn't blink for the whole time. I probably did, but I didn't notice cause my irl body was blinking, but I couldn't even see my eyelids blocking my eyes. I lined up with my body again, and started to blink. What do you know! It worked! Now I'm reconnected, but it was still trippy. I wonder what would've happened if my roommate woke up. Would he have seen my bodyless spirit drifting?
Yeah, your brain paralyzes your body when you're sleeping, so you don't kill yourself accidentally. It's happened to me, but I never had an out-of-body experience. I bet you woke up for a second, then fell back asleep.

Also known as Sleep Paralysis. That's what I thought this was at first... But then I realized it wasn't...

Sleep Paralysis is being Paralized when you wake up. I wouldn't have been moving around or anything if it was Sleep Paralysis, I'd be stationary. And the hallucinations would be around me.
I had a few out of body experiences in my time... but they were all caused by mushrooms or acid/other random drugs.
I've had a similar yet completely different experience once.
When i worked at a movie theater a few years back, one shift it was crazy hectic and i don't know how or why, but randomly in the middle of serving a guest it was like i was no longer controlling my actions. I was thinking like a 3rd person watching my actions. But my actions were serving the customer normally and getting the popcorn and making the transaction. It lasted for like 5 minutes before i had to think about what i was doing.
I know it just SOUNDS like working there just became routine and i didn't need to think of it, but i mean i didn't even feel like i was talking to the people i was serving, yet i was...
Cool stuff :)
My brother's into that shit, something, astral projection, or some shit... Sounds gay as hell in my personal opinion. You're in your body, you can't be released of it. People are fucking ridiculous.
Yeah, whatever.

Astral Projection is transporting to the "Astral Plane". You can actually meet others there, only to find them later on in life...
If I ripped your brain out of your head, that would be an out of body experience. Not sleep paralysis.

But it isn't real, can't happen...
Yeah, whatever.

I've have the same experience. I've read a few books on it, too. In Sylvia Brown's book, it states, "When you feel bodyless, it means you get a dream while sleeping, and when you wake up, your brain is still in the dream. Causing you not to be able to move, talk, blink, and do other body functions.
In another part of the book, Sylvia suggests that "Yes", your roommate would've seen your soul drifting back into your body.
Well, sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night I can feel myself fall onto my bed from about 4-5 inches. Its creepy when it happens....
.... But also REALLY fun!

When you're just there for a long time, and going straight through everything, including doorknobs, but not doors, it's just boring...
You were either dreaming or hallucinating.

Then how do you explain all the cum around my pants when I wake up? I jerk off in my dream, i jerk off in real life.
Music producer work hard as fuck to just get a few people to listen to their music, yet here you are just getting thousands of people to just vote for someone
The same thing once happened to me and it was probably because of what GriZzm0 wrote.

you probably died for the time you were out of your body...and if you were going through everything, wouldnt you go through the floor?
but they were all caused by mushrooms or acid/other random drugs.
no, its the dissociatives in an isolation tank,
fun fact: i encouraged this punk into this behavior
So THAT'S how I can wake up from these things!
The only thing left to find out, is to HOW to get into such a state in the first place.

Anyways, how the hell does that work?
You sir, were simply dreaming a very boring dream.
I've had this quite a few times actually. I've had it that when I woke up, I was paralyzed and could not move at all. Breathing was even a difficult task. I remember I heard people talking downstairs like I was right next to them, and than the sensation just left. No one was talking and I could move again. Is very frightening, almost feels like you're dying.
Another thread where iamgrimreaper talks about his paranormal experiences with drugs and mind games.
Second one today, correct?
If I ever had an O.B.E. I'd fly myself over to the victoria secret dressing rooms in my mall...
What did you expect? I would reawaken with a new positive resolution for my life to do good things? PSHHH.
Im sorry you may have had an OBE but unfortunately it was still in your dream
