Whoever made Punkbuster

Needs to go fucking kill themselves. Playing BF2, BF2 Vanilla, COD4, CODWAW, DOOM 3, Need For Speed Undercover, Need For Speed Prosdtreet, BFBC2 is impossible on ranked servers or dedicated servers.

Those games all are hosted by pnkbstr, why did I say pnkbstr? Because thats the files they seem to fuck up. Somehow on all the computers I own, all 3 of them running the 3 main OS's made by windows of today. It doesnt work. I can only play hacker servers because pnkbstrb.exe wants to have a fucking heart attack every 3 seconds I join a game.

I literally get into a game, play for 2 minutes, just long enough to steal a jet in BF2 from some douchebag through C4s everywhere. Then bam, pnkbstrb.exe had a heart attack.

99% of all servers on BF2 are impossible to play because they are hosted by Punkbuster.

So yeah, I have tried all I can, reformating Windows, reinstalling BF2, uninstalling PB reinstalling PB, raping my dog, running PnkbstrA & B as admin, none of it works. None of it.

Bad thing is I paid 300 dollars for all the games I noted. I can't just not play them, that is wasting.

I recall having issues with Punk Buster running under Quake Live some time ago, I fucked around with my firewall settings it it stopped kicking me.

I suggest console or Steam games, BC2 is a Steam game, run by VAC.

Unless of course I'm wrong, and the Steam version of BC2 runs on PB.

Have you updated the Punkbuster files so that it actually lets you play. I updated them and they work perfectly. Except Call of Duty 4 which I can't play through Steam because of an unauthorised overlay.
