Who wouldn't be scared by that scene. It was a plain screamer. I actually jumped up and left my room the first time I saw that.

Also there is an episode where this guy Dwayne gets abducted by aliens (of course) and he is in his bed at night and then strange noises and lights appear out of nowhere and his walls become like pure white and he can see like a dozen aliens between the walls of his room looking in at him while he is screaming and it just always freaked me out.
Wow, I think I remember the episode you're talking about.
Yeah, whenever the opening and the end came on, I would leave the room and have my dad tell me when it was over. And the smoking man always creeped me out a little, i have no idea why.
I watched an episode not to long ago, and was giggling at most of it. It was a pretty stupid show.
But the fact that that kind of stuff was creepy to me is weird, because I grew up watching horror movies, like Friday the 13th and chainsaw massacre, and don't ever remember being scared.

Goddamn, I miss Courage the Cowardly Dog. Best show ever.

Lol, oh yeah!!! I forgot about that scene. The toilet scene from Look Who's Talking used to creep me out when too.

Yeah that, and the security camera catching the ghost walking always gave me a chill.

Yeah I'm a huge X-Files fan. I had to get over my fear in able to watch them all =P And yeah the silly episodes do help take away the scariness.

I remember the first time I saw Friday the 13th I couldn't sleep in my own bed that night as I was afraid that someone would come under the bed and stab me in my throat, which is stupid thinking about it now as if someone was able to get into my bedroom they'd just attack me standing up like a normal person, not crawl under my bed to stab me :(
Also the first horror I saw was IT, which was damn scary to me, some bits still are really. I know it wasn't like a proper horror, but an evil clown who can take the form of your deepest fears? No thanks.
I used to be scared of some of the muppets and big bird a long time ago.
Dreams with the concept of prosperity and happiness are premonitions, only then you can decide next.

I used to think the same thing. What's with kids and thinking things are under the bed? It really isn't a very logical spot. The closet I could understand, but under the bed?
I could never look at aliens in any of those UFO sighting type shows that are on History channel or whatever.

Invader Zim was pretty creepy but it never scared me.
Actually, I do remember that shit. When I first watched it on Courage the Cowardly Dog I was scared shitless.

A lot of shit from that show freaked the fuck out of me when I was young. 1. That part with the guy who wanted the slab. 2.The one the OP linked to. That fucking Fetus man baby just freaked me out man. 3. The episode where Courage is looking to receive a package for some cockroach thing and he's opening all those apartment doors, and in one of them is a Girl playing violin but and Courage sighs because all the other doors had something lurid behind them but then girl turns around and her face is just too fucking creepy. ("you wanna know what's behind that door? No. You don't wanna know what's behind that door.")
Another thing that scared me was that episode from Spongebob where is taking care of that Caterpillar and it turns into a Butterfly and it shows a close up of a butterfly's face. It just creeps me up.
And finally this episode of Samurai Jack where he meets this family in the middle of the woods and he figures out that they are actually robots that eat metal and want after his sword. So he gets them to eat each other and this whole time I'm thinking "oh my god this is the scariest shit I've ever SEEN!" It still freaks me right the fuck out. Because it's like extreme cannibalism not to mention one of them was a baby. That's just down right traumatizing.

I never found this scary, as much as I found it hilarious. This was supposed to be a kids show!

This is the closest pic I could find relating to the scene.
i was going to post the same thing as soon as i saw the title, i recently saw the scene again and wondered why the hell i would have been so scared :P

Might get banned from double-posting, but anyone remember that one episode of Courage when a cat lady comes in with a huge white mask, is racist against dogs-like Courage-and it turns out the reason is because her best friend, a rabbit, is getting beat like cake batter by a gang of dogs whose leader acts like he loves her but only keeps her around as a trophy? Then, Courage decides, "THIS SHALL NOT STAND!" and goes on a high risk mission to break her out and reunite the two "friends?" I put that in quotes because, seemed to me that hug they had at the end was a bit, uh, "passionate." Seriously, listen to how the cat lady talks to her friend and you'll be able to pick up on what I'm saying.

Russian childrens shows, including the starving boy who hallucinates about eating oranges, and the homeless girl who gets beat up by her drunk father for not getting him money, and the mountain troll who turns people to stone, all done with glorious puppet stop motion.
