I'm pretty sure it was 2011.

Funny you should say that as her biggest demographic is middle-aged white women.
For everyone saying there vote isnt being counted, dont be so simple minded. When it shows the votes for, it most likely doesnt refresh the count after every vote, it'll do it after some kind of time period.
I've been under the impression this is how a lot of internet voting and counters work, although feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

No offense, but black women need to stop that fashion. It's freaky, unnatural, and just plain dangerous...and ghetto. :P
Also also, when I tried voting for Zach, my vote wasn't counted.
Same happened to me. I refreshed the page afterwards, but still nothing...

I really do wonder why she is suddenly getting so many votes when it is clear that Zach was far in the lead? I bet Zach wouldn't win anyway because people would think that we are making fun of his disability and not actually thinking he is hilarious. I find that very very sad.

With Dr Syphilis she is claims to be a teacher and have the title 'dr.' I seriously doubt this lady is either a qualified doctor or has completed a phd for that title. Also her stories are rather extreme, and she puts a comical light on them wich could be misenterpreted as not taking the threat of gun crime seriously. By saying that she only found out afterschool that the student had a gun shows that she is unaware of her students and cannot be rusted to maintain a healthy school enviroment, and if she want's a reality show about teachers she does not have the needed skills to be an educated host.

It's just a shame that none of the news websites reporting are actually showing the evidence of the rigging, some even defending oprah and dr syphilis.
Oh god, they have to realize that it's obvious Oprah or someone in her circle is pulling strings here. Zach is pretty funny. It's original. It has the backing of 4chan, if sources are correct, and if 4chan backs something, it wins. I dont understand who would vote for this bitch Dr. Phyllis anyway, seeing as how generic she is....

" VOTING: The video submissions made in the Competition (each, a "Video Submission") will be posted on Oprah.com from 12:01 a.m. Pacific Standard Time ("PST") on May 14, 2010, through 11:59 p.m. PST on July 3, 2010 (the "Voting Period") and a visitor to the site meeting the eligibility requirements for voting as set forth herein will have the opportunity to vote for their the Video Submissions of the participants who they believe should be cast in the Program. Use of any computer auto-voting software or any other software or device intended to tamper with the proper functioning of the voting system and use of any other means to subvert the voting process is strictly prohibited and all such votes will be void."
The sponsor determines which votes are fraudulent. There's nothing to stop him from finding 100,000 votes at a time "fraudulent."
I've firgured out another flaw. Discounting the fact that they can go either way, for Zach, or the Phyllis bitch, I dont think that that many soccer moms, what I assume is Phyllis' main group for voters, can even use the internet.

Been lurking 4chan myself, I'd suggest gathering over there to anyone who wants to do something and/or better follow what's going on. I've been told Funnyjunkies are amassing over there as well, maybe some Ebaumers. We'd might as well lend our presence, I'd think.

I find Zach genuinely funny and entertaining and would love to see him have his own show. It's too bad Oprah would go to such lengths to keep him out of the spotlight. It's either pick the most clichéd and "normal" choice or the votes get rigged to suit Oprah's needs. Democracy is a lie.

Not necessarily. If Zach is anywhere but #1, Oprah can say, "lol we decided to just go with the one with the most votes after all".
If he's in the number one spot, however, she'd be hard pressed to pick anyone else out of fear of being called a cripple hater and the like.

At the very least, Jacqueline or Shawn should be number one, if not Zach. Their shows sound a lot more interesting than "Dr." Phyllis's show.

Yup, 4chan is DDoS'ing the shit out of her site.

dr phyllis falls into the same uncanny valley that sums up oprah and other female talk-show hosts that aren't entertaining to watch. whoever airs oprah is just afraid that zach isn't a middleaged housewife-magnet like oprah and degeneris are. and they're right; cause zach is a genuinely white guy, and in order to be successful as a talk-show host you either have to be black or a dyke.
