As well as Hoffa and sunken ships?
One of my favorites are Tilapia,But we just buy them.

Thinking about it, the Lion Fish is the fish that the villain has in a tank in Naked Gun.
I'm sure you've have bream, bass, and catfish/horned pout before in some capacity. To me, those are some of the best tasting fish in fresh waters.
I've had sea bream, but none of the others (though they could carry different names here).

Hell, they were on my way. It's like catching a shoe on your fishing hook.

I remember that from Naked Gun now that you mention it. The bream in ponds here look like this attached photo. You slide your hand right over their dorsal fin to unhook them and they are usually about the side of an adult's hand. Incredibly great tasting fresh water fish. Many people fry them. They are really fun to catch too. I get them on crickets myself. But you can use a beetlespin bait or something similar. They are basically bluegill.
Agreed about fish like Tilapia. They taste great, easier to just buy.

Yeah, same over here. They just don't turn up on any restaurant menus that I've ever been to and I don't think I've ever seen one for sale in the fish markets round here.
I was taken fishing once, it comes pretty top in my most boring 6 hours ever.
Lets talk about the dangers of fishing and the parasites that can exist in fish! :D

Probably because you never caught anything, other than maybe a top-up of your already gigantic collection of crabs.

I went fishing with a friend of mine and he almost hooked me in the face when he was casting because he wasn't really paying attention and it was his first time fishing. We were fishing off a pier and I was standing behind him, when he brought his fishing rod back to cast it, I saw his hook right in front of my face. I made sure to keep a safe distance from him when he was about to cast after that.

As large as ocean tackle is, that would definitely suck shit. I usually go fishing in fresh water via bass boat, so whenever the person at the front of the boat casts (if sitting down) the line and lure always comes dangerously close to the person at the back of the boat near the motor. I've had several close calls because of this, but luckily I haven't had any Chevy Chase moments (Funny Farm, you have to see it to know what I mean) yet. We always fish with treble hooks too, which makes the odds of getting skin pierced even greater.
Fishing's so great...
i usually fish for bluegill because...well... i've caught a few with my hands they're so dumb.
And bass are fun to try n get.
Not only do I not know what's going on, I wouldn't know what to do about it if I did.
i love fishing its a great thing to do catching crabs and fish flander/cat fish etc
I love to fish. My stepdad recently bought a big boat so we can go deepsea fishing out in the ocean and boy is that a blast. Have you ever caught a stingray? Damn those things can pull.

I tried to reel in a huge skate before, it was pulling so hard I was worried it was going to damage my rod so I ended up cutting the line.

Oh shit. How'd you know?
Truth be told I'm just jealous of all those crazy raving fish catching skills.
was heaps into it as a kid, got bored of it, and now getting back into it. All freshwater fishing in the river here, mainly catch just european carp or callop. speaking of callop, here lies the biggest motherfucing one ive ever seen someone catch, by my friend when we went camping. big callop is big.
what fish do you guys mostly catch?
I went fishing once, hoping to catch a shark. It didn't happen, and as a result, I've retired my fishing rod and tackle box until a later time.

Its just like they are dead weight since they always swim just straight down. It also scares me to death when I try to get the hook out because they start moving around that barb to much. What a horrid fish.

Haven't been in ages, and the only nearby water source is a retention pond posing as a lake.
But boy I wouldn't mind it just siting there shooting the shit, not catching anything.
