I'm struggling to understand your logic. A return flight from, say, Australia will cost around $2,000. So if some Australian donates $2,500 to a START UP (i.e. a company or initiative that requires money to get off the ground), they should then expect the guy behind the start up to stump up the cost of a flight, effectively making it a $500 donation?

$100 pledged. And I'm planning to head down to Philly in October anyway, so that's rather convenient. Ironically, I'd be driving a carpool down there for something unrelated at that time, so hopefully they won't find it too unusual for me to disappear for a couple hours and then return.

You guys don't mind if I'm there at like 9pm on a Friday smelling of sweat, car exhaust and crappy fast food, do you?
