I'm currently looking to improve on my character design, anatomy and pose wise. I'm not so good in drawing my characters poses as well as their anatomical features. Thus, I would appreciate it if all of you can take off abit of your time to constructively criticize my artworks.
Also, I hope that you guys can help me out by giving me challenges such as to draw a certain character in a certain pose, and etc. The more complicated the better.
For now it'll just be line art, but I hope to learn how to color and shade once I really get the anatomy down. So with that, here's the art.

Alright:
Do the above character,
In this pose and viewpoint,
In some simple ninja gear,
Coloured!
First off I have to say that this is quite possibly one of the better art threads wording and layout wise that i've seen lately.
Anyway, Since TOAS gave you an "assignment" I'll just drop this link here. Posemaniacs. It's a site full of poses and anatomy of the human body for artists to reference from. Good luck!
Notbad at all, throw on some more armor, give the character some color, and maybe even in a differant pose, that pose is sorta odd, and dont forget to give that sword a nice shine up.
Good luck with all that though.

POXNORA ??? A Very Unique game
Been a few months since I've come back to this thread. I have serious issues about committing to something @_@.
Either way, I've been working on improving my art, and the advice in this thread really helped a lot. I regret to say that I still couldn't give myself the push to go and do some life drawing. I've actually realised its importance now more than ever. But I got around to understanding the anatomy a lot better. I still cant keep away from anime art though. http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/post/reply /1176037#
