Playing god: Doing it: Is it alright to?

I've been wondering why, if there is a god, he would consider it such a sin. I mean, you'd think he'd be proud of us for being creative. I played god today by creating a Howie Mandel with a Spongebob face.

What is your take on the issue of playing god?
