A hero, eh? The only reason I survived is because I hid back the entire time. At least i was smart enough to stop sobbing while they searched for survivors. Now i'm back at base, and thanks to my valiant effort, they tracked down their head hitman, and i have the honor of killing him.
Only problem is, now they want me to scout out their base next week. Me? This can't be right. Someone help me, please!
Benedict of the Oni Shield was once an ordinary, common soldier, extraordinary only in his complete lack of will and bravery, until he happened upon the Legendary Oni Sheild while hiding inside a cave.
The Oni Sheild, possessed by a demon whose power was that of a Kingdom, morphs its horrible face to strike terror into any foe, the impenetrable hide of the demon protecting the shield's bearer from any assault.
However, the Oni Sheild lusts after battle, conflict, and violence, or else it will feed on its owner's soul, as it attatches itself to its owner in a way not physical, and incomprehensible to humans. Therefore, to stay alive and free himself, Benedict of the Oni Shield must constantly keep the parasite fed, even though doing so terrifies him more than the sheild itself...
Sent out into the woods on her own, the daughter of the village's chief must learn to fight off and kill wild beasts to prove her superiority. This is problematic because she is afraid of hurting anything, so she must either put her duty of being a prospective leader as top priority or never return to her village.

character was not the main focus of the piece
Kernalphage wins my vote.
I am of the opinion that if Gumby can't be included, than neither should M-Vero. His character was hardly the focus of his, and his didn't look finished to boot.
Sorry Vero, just an honest opinion.

Both true, it isn't finished (I ASSUMED that the chow would end thursday night, like it said. But I was wrong apparently) by then I only had the inks done.
The hero isn't the main focus, but he's definitely more noticeable than gumby's
Vero's is still an acceptable piece. Many other times, in CHOWS and COWS and what-not, people have just submitted uncoloured lineart.
Also, in Vero's piece, the character is much more noticeable and cowardly, whereas in gumby's the main focus is on the colossus and the character looks more surprised than cowardly.

i dont think vero's guy looks cowardly, he just looks like a psycho... :/
my vote is for Piggler
I would like to place my vote for zombie-eskimo, as he demonstrated great artistic talent in using what I would call a Kevin Bacon reference.
Failure should push you until success can pull you.
My vote goes to felis. The story itself helped immensely in choosing this piece. Good work. :D
