Basic Improvements to Newgrounds

I look through some things and realize one thing, we are missing a few things that would really help some people if we had them. One is that first of all there is no Art review counter on userpages, second that you can't see ALL of peoples Fav'd Art, only the first 4.

Another is that you can't specify your searches. For instance if you want to search a specific genre or what Rating it is (E,T,M,R). And you can't even search for art or Music without going to the specific tabs themselves.(which isn't that big of an inconvenience but it would be nice to have it right there at the top for you) Even the search for the BBS could stand to be improved. Even if you get really specific with your search you still have sift through waves of pages to find the thread you're looking for. And you can't specify what forum it's in either so that extends the search by pages.

A nice feature to have is if you knew whether or not you've received a whistle point for whistling correctly, I hate thinking in anticipation whether or not I've done it correctly or not. Even if they won't let us see our points they could at least give us that. So we know whether or not we messed up.

Well that's all I can think of for now, but I'm sure I've missed some points. Anyone else have a thing in particular that should be improved here?

I think it would be nice if Tom and some other "elites" came up with a MMORPG (or maybe just a large game with many hours, maybe even days or more, of gameplay that Tom would be able to update and upgrade as he came out with updates). It would be a nice change of pace from the current games where you either try to beat your personal high-score, beat the game (no scores), the mochigames' leaderboard games, and other games. You'd then be able to see a person's progress on their userpage.

Yeah, sure, ok. I'm sure that's what was gonna happen about the NG Chat too? I know none of the shit I listed will get done till' Jesus comes down and does it himself. Let's face it, not a lot improvements get done on this site.

Opening a tab to Google to hunt down what should just be a quick search on NG is just to time consuming regardless of how fast you type. And googles not a lot better than the NG search

nice to search an NG user who doesn't have anything uploaded to the portal. All you can search are authors, not average users...also, there sould be an availability to leave more than one review on something, so you could reply, and help somone out or something. You know?

I thought about that. However, I realized if you already know who you're going to search. Why not just enter his name like this: name.newgrounds.com and go there anyway? Also having a second review would be bad. If you can't fit it all into one review then just edit shit. But also it's because if it got into the hands of a shitty troll then they could affect the score twice. But if you could make a second review that wasn't score-able and also was able to be deleted by the author, that would be good.

Yeah, I'm new here, so I didn't know about name.newgrounds.com (BTW Thanks for that, problem solved) and I meant like reply to reviews, no score to it, just one more, not unlimited.

Do reviews even effect the score? i thought voting only did. and you can vote on a flash everyday.... so having 2 review scores isnt really that big of a deal. same as voting 5 on a flash every day for a week

No you don't understand, you see, A flash has two different scores, one real score from voting and a second from Reviews. Though voting is the most affecting score, the review score can also help get rewards such as underdog. That is why people shouldn't get a second chance to review. But if it was a score-less review, the worst they could do is be unhelpful.

Why is it this one that gets chosen. There has been countless threads voicing the fact that the BBS is in need of perfection. What we have is awesome, I mean, Black font on Yellow background is almost enough to keep my mouth shut.

Anyway that's great that apparently something is getting done.

There is no View all button on the Fav. Art panel. That's what I meant. Though yeah, you can see all of it by going to the favorites tab.

I know that, but if they can do it for Art why not do it for every other Portal? They all ready got down how to.
