Lag!

everytime i play tf2 i get horrible lag every 3 minutes or so for 30 seconds, my pc usually plays it fine i have all my settings on the lowest excpet for the resolution which is on the proper setting for my monitor and i have the demiension on 4:3 i check my task manager to see if any other stuff was running to make it lag like this, i doubt its my pc becuse it played fine a couple months ago, same thing happens with cs 1.6 and cs-cz
