nearly 40 million gallons have already spilled. this isn't good, this isn't something that should be happening. it's a problem that, if it isn't fixed soon, it's going to come to extremes. it doesn't make sense to me that no actions have been taken toward fixing this yet, it's obviously easier to continue pointless political arguments and point fingers.
the spill is roughly 5,000 feet deep. a typical submarine can't descend more than 2,500 feet below sea level without being crushed by pressure. and that is without a doubt too much pressure for any human being to withstand.
there are submarines capable of descending that deep, but are very costly. the fact that the government hasn't helped with any of this yet is just insane to me, but i can't say it's something unusual.
you see shit like this, and it's disgusting. this isn't just some small issue, it's a big fucking problem. and BP is starting to admit it's all a lot worse than what everyone's realized.
i personally don't feel this is going to be solved anytime soon. i feel that it's this oil spill, that will later trigger multiple other issues that will send the earth and the human race spiraling toward it's own destruction.
but fuck it right?
ok
I can't think of anything witty to say to this...

I think by now it's obvious that this is all a big con by the oil companies so that can try to justify increasing their prices dramatically in the near future.

because it's a serious problem. i really want to take this further, i want to publicly let the world know, but i don't have that power. so all i can do is post about all of this here.
it's time for everybody to realize what the fuck is really happening to this planet. and some will, and some won't. i feel that the end will come as it is supposed to, and that it's almost inevitable at this point.
ok
Shove a pineapple down there.
Pineapples have been proven to withstand any amount of pressure.
problem solved.
we, we don't need it from the gulf, lets go to iran
Everyone has heard of this by now, but I guess it was pretty nice to create a post that has such detail about the exact predicament. I was actually part of a place that would give me a full time job cleaning up the oil spill around Florida where I live, but they have not gotten back to me in the last week, like they said they would.
You know the world's gone crazy when the best rapper's a white guy and the best golfer's a black guy - Chris Rock
the BP oil spill does indeed, suck balls.
I read an article about some team that was surveying the situation yesterday, and they described how they were all rather sad to see dolphins swimming through the oil ridden areas, particularly when they noticed said dolphins were covered in so much of the oil, that they were spraying it out of thier blowholes :/
I'm not some hippy type whos all like "save the whales, meat is murder" or any shite like that, but, dolphins man, dolphins :(
dolphins are awesome

in the end a prediction is all it is. but none of you understand how strongly i feel about this, how strongly i feel this.
i mean, i can't i know i can't be the only one who's putting the fucking pieces together. when it happens, if it happens, the coming issues to be triggered by this oil spill will be ultimately devastating.

actually that oil was supposed to be for us reserves, so it really wasn't going to be put for sale, so our gas prices shouldn't be affected
i got techniques dripping out my butt cheeks; sleep on my stomach so i don't fuck up my sheets.
sure, they won't buy other oil, because army oil is different
and to those of you who are reading this and choosing to dismiss it as bullshit, should think twice. it's scary to think about, to discuss, to start to realize. and you should be scared.
the human mind is a complex and capable tool, you think you know what's going on in the world? you fucking don't. you have to truly understand how powerful the brain is, what you're able to pull off. the degree of manipulation and corruption over the passed years has gotten out of hand, it's human beings deciding the fate of the world, not a god, not a religion, but us. if you still believe the fate of our world is left in the hands of a supreme being, wake the fuck up. it's time to take some sort of action.
years and years of blindly believing the lies told from ages past are coming to an end. and it's not going to be a wonderful liberating feeling, it's going to be a horrible soul-freeing experience.
ok
Lol we're screwing up your countries oceans.
And we don't care :D

I can't help but agree with everything that you said. The people on this planet have gotten so ignorant that we are now destroying oceans, sea life and probably ourselves over oil. I don't think it'll be solved, I think instead the people in authority are waiting on each other to fix it, while destroying the planet. It sickens me how far we have gone for money and oil in this world. Chances are when the oil reaches Europe (I'm fairly sure it already has) they'll be mad, cue next cold war, only this one will most likely start a war.
I also can't believe how nobody seems to care about the fact that we are destroying our own planet over oil and money. I don't think enough people understand that the oil spill is helping to destroy our planet, instead those people are depending on the big guys (the system, the worms aka the gov) to fix it all for them. Why must we always find a way to fuck things up over money?

always fuck things up over money? it wasn't always. when human beings were in touch, in tune with nature and the universe, rather than their own personal desires and beliefs, earth was probably an amazing place to exist on. over time technology and government[authority, like you said] have become relied on far too much. it's stopped us from being what we are, it's literally fucking poisoned and numbed our minds.
i don't get how ANYONE can honestly look at the world for what it truly has become and believe this is the way it's supposed to be. it's not. and i'm upset i wasn't alive thousands of years ago, because this wasn't a fair generation to be born into.
ok
40 million gallons that would otherwise have been burned.
Why are we still using oil in the first place? Maybe this will help us to stop trusting the oil companies.

Well, what I meant was that in this generation, and in this point in time, everything revolves around money. I don't really want to be in this generation either, in a generation literally destroying the earth over money. I'd much rather be in a far better place, a lot like you said, when earth was a nice, happy place with people on it that actually cared about nature, people that cared about the animals, instead of killing them with oil.
And yes, a lot of people view the world as being a standard, as if the way it works now is the way it always did. And I'm positive that's how the government wants us to see the world. They have the power, if people actually opened their eyes and saw what is happening here and now and why it shouldn't be, I'm sure the government would be overthrown in an instant. The only obstacle is the people that see the world as it is now as a good and healthy place. The obstacle is the people that think what is happening is right.

so that's it? an hour into this thread and not even 2 pages?
did i not provoke enough thought into each of you? or is it that you do feel the fear, you do fucking feel what i feel and it frightens you? i don't want to watch this thread die, i want to hear your opinions and i need to know if anyone else out there has felt any of this same shit.
i know these forums, i know the way they work. if it isn't a thread about a penis or something you guys find humorous you see no point in posting and actually discussing a serious issue.
you don't have thoughts? beliefs? you CANNOT be this empty and passive. all i want is for you guys to tell me how you feel by really fucking digging deep into yourself. there are so many intelligent and down to earth people here, is it too much to ask to hear how you feel?
ok
People will keep yelling until something drastic happens.
Then they'll look over, turn back around and start yelling again.

If the government has subs that can go that deep, jaheez, use them, then make BP pay the costs of using that submarine.
I just back back from the beach and there were tiny globs of oil on the sand. They were really sticky and could be molded into shapes. Fuck BP, hurry and clean this crap.

I think I'm afraid of you more than anything. You're being rather imposing/condescending.

When my parents asked for my opinion on where to go for our vacation, I'm glad I wasn't a douche-bag that said "The beach!". I said Canada!
