Nah, Flash is for visual stuff only :). You can add audio to a flash, but you can't make audio with it.
FL Studio combines simplicity and power, and there are loads of people here on NG who use it. Still, if you want something REALLY simple, then go for PXTone, although it's not nearly as powerful as FL Studio (or any other DAW like Reason, Cubase, etc...).
So long story short, my suggestion is that it depends on what you want. If you want to start up as simple as you can and then build up by getting more complicated and more powerful programs later on, then start with PXTone, but if you think you can catch on quickly and want to start with a more powerful program, try FL Studio.
By the way, don't forget to read the rules for submitting audio if you didn't already :).
